In my opinion, I give FF7 a 9/10 rating in comparison to the other FF. My reason is as follows:It is not just a game with excellent graphics.It has nice game play.A main character actually dies...permanently.It gave the world a bench mark of how an RPG should be.It brought many innovations.

Ok I am not sure if anyone else said this because I am not reading through the topic but HOW DARE YOU MOCK FINAL FANTASY VII!!!!!! Have you even played the game and beat it along with all the sidequests?? Final Fantasy VII rocks because of the characters and their lives/history along with the Battle System. As for it being the first on the PS console of the FF series to use 3D graphics. The whole materia system was also pretty good. It has an awesome story. Best of all, you could goof around on there still and still have a good time like going to the Gold Saucer or raising Chocobos or even battle! Best RPG I have ever played before along with the best FF game of all time! And the best thing is....they are remaking it for the PS3 with better graphics!!!

I give it a 9 though I talk about it like I worship it. The points it lost was on graphics and freakin Emerald Weapons attack makes me mad. How are you suppose to fight that thing with your materia on!?!?!?!?

the reason this game was so good, wasnt just cuz of cloud, but the other greatest character too. cloud and sepheroth were in the same game. then there was materia leveling, making it so your characters have limitless possibilities. if they remake it, it will make millions

Not so; There were better looking 2D RPGs out and even better looking 3D video games. It was just the first RPG to be 3D. The backgrounds were prerendered and had a static camera. Not quite, They got the biggest wanker of a character for the hero and the so-called crazy arse villian was just dark and brooding. He seemed to do everything he did for little reason to no reason and seemed to take center stage when he appeared. Shinra and AVALANCHE were going after him even though the feud between Shinra and AVALANCHE wasn't settled.Just killing masses of people doesn't make a character crazy arse; The Character makes it crazy arse. Take a look at Yuber from Suikoden 1 and you have an awesome villian. He has the look and the attitude of a villian but will act human if he faces trouble that he can't handle. He was prepared to kill Tirs group in the Villiage of the Hidden Rune but was called away because the Soul Eater had left the villiage and he and his associates wanted it.They got the best hero and crazy azz villian
That is what I agree on but not by much; Materia was better than the incredibly flawed Junction system but Materia was only slightly less flawed because any character could equip any materia. Get that; It didn't matter if the character was someone like Barret or Tifa, they all could equip any materia so they eventually all became the same but with different stats.And lets conclude with your completly biased end to it.materia was better than what you have in 8

FF7 is the best of all the final fantasy series becouse the caracters, the storiline, the materia combination, the limit leveling, the chocobos breading, the chocobo racings, the simons and the weapons, any more cuestions??????

Perhaps the games have great storylines but that means that games like Chrono Trigger and Suikoden (And 2) had Godlike storylines. On the part of characters, the only people that find the characters awesome are fans and people that haven't played any of the games that came ut before or afterwards it. In Suikoden 2 I counted over 50 likeable characters out of the 108 Stars of Destiny.With Awesome weapons; Would you please just look at other games with cooler weapons. All of the weapons in Chrono Trigger were quite cool looking while there were about 60 or so characters who all had individual stances and weapon names in Suikoden.Evil!!! how dare someone call such a fantastic series boring... All the games have great story lines, great characters, and awesome weapons!!!! Now what is not cool about that???

It's fun. Really fun. I liked it. The storyline was good. Better than the other FF's (maybe not 6) in my opinion. So don't hate.

I give FF7 a 10/10. It's the best in my opinion. Good story, cool characters, addictive...Just a classic. In my opinion, of course.

out of 10 i give it at 40 because of it's playablity even nowadmit it you still play it even though all this other stuff has come out
