Although it is a good rpg series, I find that sometimes - the more obscure series are better. I'm more into rpg's with unique combat systems[think xenosaga,strategy types, ff12 I guess-that's pretty unique]

I would have to say that some people just don't understand FF and others are drawn to it. Myself i have played all of them up to 12 and like the storylines.

I think that all the final fantasy's are brilliant but only certain 1's like ff9 have the best graphics,Go FINAL FANTASY!!!!

I'm a huge FF fan (I even have a Moogle tattoo on my leg lol). It's one of the most successful RPGs out there, but I can't say it's the "best" because it's a matter of opinion. I'm more into darker themed RPGs, so I'm also a huge fan of the Shin Megami Tensei series. I think FF will stay on top for quite a while though.

This game is really good but there is still many game better than it such as: grandia, kingdom hearts, Riveria,...!!!!! I love the grandia very much. It is my most favorite rpg game!

Final Fantasy is overrated. Especially VII. Tactics Ogre, Fire Emblem, Disgaea, and The Legend of Zelda are all better.

the FF series were good on the SNES and PSX but kinda lost track of gameplay since thenEarthbound still rocks the socks though

To me, there are better RPGs out there compare to FF series. One good example of it, is Lunar The Silver Star Story.

how can you say lunar legend is better most people have oved on to better things like ff7 is a milestonecompared to lunar it blows it out the water but with all fairness i also believe xenogears is top fiveIMO FF is really good.. but there r better RPGs.... such as Wild Arms.... Lunar...

Final Fantasy Tactics for the PS is the greatest RPG of all time. If you consider it an RPG.

Final Fantasy Tactics did rock, I really miss that game... I must acquire it again someday...Final Fantasy 7 was the end all and be all of rpg's back in the day (3/6) of course got me into the series...Then I was introduced to Jade Empire... That game is absolutely wicked, especially the combat system... I like the fair mix of action/stats...Beyond the Elder Scrolls 4 is quite stunning... And not just in the graphics sense...

So totally right. Good luck finding tactics again. I had to e-bay it for $60 after my house was robbed and they took my PS2 that had FFT in it. =(Final Fantasy Tactics did rock, I really miss that game... I must acquire it again someday...Final Fantasy 7 was the end all and be all of rpg's back in the day (3/6) of course got me into the series...

Or...you can always wait for Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions (or Lion's War?), since its a remake of Tactics for the PSP. But the price...well...when the time comes I guess...For me, I think the Final Fantasy series used to produce the best RPGs, but sadly the latest ones are detiorating in standards, like Dirge of Cerberus...But who knows, the series is still going strong and its still present today. In fact, I'm currently playing Crisis Core : Final Fantasy VII (JP) and I have yet to experience all the mechanics. It seems like a decent game, but I've yet to pass if off as the best though.So totally right. Good luck finding tactics again.
