I have played alot of rpg game and yet still, i found out that final fantasy is the best. Cant wait for the new final fantasy in ps3.

there are huge amounts of rpgs and they are all different so its hard to say which is best. however, ff7, dragon quest 8, dark chronicle, and rogue galaxy are probably my favourites. being the ones that have given me the most game playing enjoyment.

I'm not so sure if it's the best but Final Fantasy definitely is a great overall RPG.

As a game, I think FF is fine enough. But as an RPG, to me, I don't think FF is all that hot. I find it too much like an arcade game in areas for me to consider it a true RPG.

Squaresoft/Square-Enix has done a better job with some of their more recent games, and the Final Fantasy series is getting to have way too many games in it. I think that it used to be the best RPG, but it's been replaced, IMO.

I like the FF series for the PSX. They all have really great story lines and characters along with the chrono series. What I really hate is X-2

Now, i wouldn't call it the best rpg, but it does have its good points. There are several as good ones like Zelda, ZOE, MGS (Would that count as one or is it a shooter?) and yeah there are plenty more that are awesome.

Final Fantasy games don't really suck, but they certainly do when measured up against the hype they recieve. Besides, they haven't done anything really new for a long, long time. The stories are derivative, the battle system is endless new coats of paint (ATB, no battle scene, whatever) on the same old stuff, and graphics and music are no way to judge an RPG. They're not bad, but lately they're "good" at best.

FF is the king of all RPGs, not much time to play other rpgs, so i don't really have much choice....
