I personally think Final Fantasy is as overrated as Halo 2.There are WAY better RPGs out there, guys.Golden Sun, Shining Force, Fire Emblem, Kingdom Hearts, Shin Megami Tensai, Lunar, Star Ocean....

nopthere are a lot of titles better then FFvagrant story, star ocean, valkyrie profile (ps2 version is coming) and others away...this is my personal opinion... heheheh

I liked the earlier ones, the newer ones aren't as appealing... I'm finding better ones out there, notably (my personal favourite) the Shadow Hearts series. The Chrono series, Kingdom Hearts (hey, it's a bloody original idea), and Suikoden series are all good ones, too.

I'd probably say yes. I've play other rpgs like DBZ ones and the Mario.. but FF ones are still better, although Mario was very good too

For me it is the greatest for the PS2 and the NES ( the classic first )but it is almost a tie with golden sun (GBA)

I think it is the most known and the most played ! thats why some people thinks it is the best !! does someone remember ''legend of dragoon'' on PS1the battle system of that game was the best !!!!!! (the story wasnt realy good tho)but i think final fantasy is the greatest SERIE of RPG ever made !! :wink4:

It's hard to say, since FF is a series, not really a game, and the games in the series are anywhere from great to average, depending on which game. But FF is a great series.

on the playstation it is and i am sorta a RPG fan i ahev most of the final fantasy games on playstaion andFF X and FF X-2 on ps2 but my favourite gaem that i curently playign is ragnarok online. i havent played world of warcraft yet but my friend has it and he says it is a excellent game so i might have to play it one day

ALthough I like the FF series I do not hink that they are the best rpg's. The best rpg I have played in my opinion is The Legend of Dragoon. It has great gameplay and a great storyline. I was sad when they never came out with a sequel.

No final fantasy is not one of the best rpg games out there, Phantasy Star, Dragon Quest, Star Ocean, Tales of [insert multi sequels], Y's [enter number here], JRPG's blow Final fantasy out of the water, and so does alot of the chinese mmorpgs.

I love final fantasy, I really think it's the best, I've got 1 - X2, plus tactics, tactics advance, mystic quest and many more.I think most of what square enix does is amazing, they are the best.

i think final fantasy is the best rpg. i am into rpg's mostly for the story plot. if i really enjoy the story then its gonna be a good game. But the gameplay has to be at least to standard rpg status or it will suck but i love a good story plot because its like reading a good book.AGain as people said it depends. Basicly on a few factors:1) Are you in for story plot?2) Are you in for graphics?3) Are you in for gameplay?In my opinion from the FF games i've played, they have come up with some games wtih awesome plot. FFVII is the most popular example. Also it has graphics that were amazing for its time and I thought the gameplay was pretty fun. Expecially the chocobo races...ah yes that was addicting ^^But it's all a matter of opinion
