Nintendo does not have kiddy characters!!!

Nintendo might not be very gorey but did you all ever stop to think that maybe that's intentional?...I mean if everybody else is so gorey then why would they want to be?...

Whatever kind of game it is, as long as it's fun. I'll be playing it.

it does have a lot of cartoony characters. im not sure kiddy is the right word lol.the *cartoony* ones are the best anyway. im 18 now and i still love pokemon......and surprisingly i dont get burned for it

id rather play as a colourful fuz ball then some tank top gym junkie.

Yeah gamecube isn't kiddyish in my opinion.

I never thought that Nintendo was kiddy, rather that they try to appeal to a wider range of gamers.

not true the cube dosent but the nintindo ds has madden topgun and street fighter etc

I'm 14, and i've had my gamecube since i was 8. In retrospect, yeah, some of the characters were kinda kiddy, and i do want to see nintendo make some different games, like more mature games. However, Nintendo is unique in that it continues to develop their characters over the years. No wonder so many people line up to play a new zelda or metroid game (which, in my opinion, isn't kiddy.)

Perhaps it is targeted towards kids, and it may be merely a business strategy. A hit child game is going to get a lot of sales! Nintendo can make different genres and topics for games this way too. I mean think about it... Halo and Call of Duty series are VERY popular and get TONS of sales, but the other war games that aren't as good but are still great are being left out. They aren't getting as many sales. Everyone likes a good war game, but because there are so many for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, the top games like Halo are dominating and the lower class ones are not getting as many sales. Nintendo can make Pokemon games, and then they can just switch to an old strategy war game like Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy, and they get as much money as the Halo series, but they aren't leaving out other games. Plus, IT DOESN'T HURT TO PLAY CHILDISH GAMES! It's fun to be a child. It's okay to play a game that is targeted towards children. It's fun, and that's all that counts. Your youth is a powerful and FUN time in your life, and you shouldn't try to grow up too fast.

agreed. Nintendo does kinda have kiddy characters, but there characters even adults can enjoy. Like mario. Mario is going to have more fame than any character microsoft or sony makes. Legend of zelda, link is not a kiddy character. He is in fact a none kiddy character because first he uses a sword to kill enimies, second people are being kidnapped around him aka(zelda 95 percent of the time) and games wouldent make a kiddy game where people would be kiddnaped next to a kiddy character, and third come on how many hard boses do you see a little wimpy character fight.
