my parents are agianst games, in fact they're against eveything thats fun. Sports, travel, gambling (i don't gamble btw), games, going out...all they ccare about is good grades, i don't listen to them of course you only have one childhood.... plus i still get scholarships so that keeps them quiet

Well, my parents are only againts games because me and my brothers play them a lot. However, they can't do crap about it because pretty much all of us are old enough to make our own decisions (Except both of my lil bros) and can do anything with our money.

My parent believe im old enough to make my own decisions, and are only there to support and protect me and I myself know whats right and wrong so they're arent against them personally.

My dad couldn't care less. My mother used to be really bothered by them.When I was little, she always used to worry that they would confuse my sense of reality. She'd call me for something while I was playing a game, and I'd reply like "Mom! I almost died when you called me!" and she'd give me a long lecture about how it was a game, and the character that was dying, not me. And asking if I knew the difference.And she was very religious, so she'd throw a fit if there was anything remotely demonic in there. I'd always shoot back with something like "Well can we throw out your bible then? That's where all demons come from right? And it's fill with rape, and incest, and murder, and rivers of blood, and talking snakes, and the devil, and the apocalypse, and sodomy, etc."She's mellowed out considerably as the years have passed though. To the point that she says "what was I thinking? about certain things that happened in the past. I recall when I was around nine or ten, we had a tape of the movie Willow. She bought it, she'd watch it with me, we both thought it was a great film, and when I was little I'd watch it every day. Then a day came that her church was having a bonfire where everyone that went would bring a bag, and burn any possessions they had that were demonic. Talk about hopping on the bandwagon. She couldn't find anything demonic in the house to throw on the bonfire, so she chose the Willow tape because of the segment in the middle with the trolls, an the giant hydra dealie, and the bit at the end with the witches. I was upset about that for a long time, but years later when that's mentioned to her, she says "God! What was I thinking?"A year or two ago I bought myself a Willow dvd. I sent her a copy as well. She was quite pleased.

My parents love video games so I don't really have a problem, I guess I'm just lucky.
