I think Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is the best RPG game in Gameboy, although the tactical part is overwhelming in the game play. Its just so fun on GBA.

While its a strategy/RPG, I have to agree. I've yet to play a better RPG than these, even though they can get a bit tedious (the only failing of the strategy and RPG genres, IMO)I've also enjoyed the GBA remakes of the Final Fantasy games. I don't like the fact that they changed the magic system of FFI, though, from spells/day to MP. Also, was the levelling system of FFII always like that? I loved that idea, even though it is not as good as it could have been.Edit: Pokemon would be on this list, but they need a darned dark Pokemon game, or a strategy Pokemon game!Fire Emblem 6-8, not 1 and 2. 1 and 2 were for the NES!

fire emblem 6-8, just my opnion though.dunno why. i just enjoy turn based, strategy games where if a character dies you permantly lose them. no phoenix downs, revival staves, priests that revive them, spells, etc to bring them back.Learned that the hard way with Nino =D

My first loss of a character in FE was with Florina. She's now, probably, my favorite character. I think Final Fantasy series are best RPG ever. But there're some other game still good enough: Kingdom Hearts, Sword of Mana...etc. I love RPGs ^^

I like the Golden Sun series, all of Final Fantasy and Onimusha Tactics. Thou don't know if it would categorized in RPG but it's really good game.And those Summon Knight series are very good too. u should try them if u haven't.

Golden Sun Series boasts good soundtrack (Sakuraba is a freaking genius), top notch graphics, and a complex mode of gameplay (psynergy, djinn/class setups).As for Zelda, I personally think it fits in its own category, being such an amazing series.
