I was thinking about upgrading to a Nintendo DS, and I was just wondering if it would be worth purchasing, like the game list. Is it extensive enough at the moment to truly be worth the while?

Right now, I'd say it's not worth it, wait for one of 2 things:-For the price of the ds to drop-or for more game titles to be released

I personally like the D.S. The touch screen struck me as very revolutionary and unique. But the PSP is no joke with it's extra features like music or movies. Right now I would have to go with the PSP. Put if you give the D.S. a little time, it will be alot better. But for now...PSP.

Im going to have to agree with Burning Chaos, the price its still a little high for anyone and there is still not enough games out. I would say wait until around Christmas, and hope for another drop (even though its doubtful).

There are plenty of good DS games out now, such as Advance Wars: Dual Strike, Nintendogs, and Meteos, plus several more on the way, including Metroid Prime: Hunters, Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time, Sonic Rush, Mario Kart DS, and Animal Crossing DS. Plus Nintendo's Wi-Fi plan for the DS launches soon, allowing you to game online with certain DS games, so...Yeah, it's worth it.

Yeah...it is expensive...but it has a what, $100+ price reduction over the PSP...sure it does different stuff but it is a well built console with a bright future. Remember that Nintendo's strong point has been its handheld consoles, and this one will just get better and better as time goes past.

PSP is just alot here in America since they are just selling the bundle feature *damn sony being money whores* and don't want to sell the regular price ones. The DS price drop only in america because of the release of nintendogs. $130 is the price with a game.

you gotta remember tho.. PSP is a playstation. i doubt dgemu could ever afford the bandwidth for the games if they really are playstation2 quality. as in 1gig + vs 50megs.

If u already have a GBA then i recommend u get a DS. For one, you can play all your old GBA games on the DS. Not to mention that the touch screen of DS is one of its kind.. really good buy...

Of course it's worth buying! The Microphone, the Touch Screen, and everything else the PSP dosen't have! And then of course, there's the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection, comming soon! Mario Kart DS will have a bunch of classic tracks from past games and many new ones. Animal Crossing DS will let you live in a village among animals and friends. And Metroid Prime: Hunters lets you kick someone's butt miles away from them! It's freaking awsome!!!

The DS offers unique gameplays. More games will come out that will cleverly uses the dual screens. Nintendogs for example. really shows on how Dual Screen is all about. Just wait until December, the price should go down.
