DS is is a lot better than PSP. Besides, you can play all your gba games on a DS and PSP takes forever to load no matter what game you play. :D

definitely; I've had my ds for over a year now and I'm never bored with it- unlike with my psp, which I stopped playing after a few months. There's just so many varieties of games on the ds and the touch screen is awesomeness :D

I thought the DS was definitely worth buying, and that sentiment was before I even discovered the R4... and the fact is I own a PSP as well. Both are awesome machines in their own right.

I was thinking about upgrading to a Nintendo DS, and I was just wondering if it would be worth purchasing, like the game list. Is it extensive enough at the moment to truly be worth the while?

It is totally worth buying if you know how to shop. I download roms on to a micro SD and put it in a TTSD cartridge. All you pay for is the DS, Micro SD card and TTSD cartridge. It will pay for itself because you save money when you download.

Well, if you wait, then the DS price will drop and since you have free roms, just get an R4 and you'll save hundreds of dollars. PSP is better with graphics and gameplay but takes longer to load. XD

For the people who are saying that the PSP is comparable, not in the least, yes, it's more high tech, but I had one for over a year and traded it in for an NDS, the number of FUN games for the NDS out numbers that for the PSP like 100 to 1. The NDS is a great portable device, whereas the PSP, I found myself only playing it at home.Just my 2 cents...

Actually, with the DSi coming out, they'll probably just sell it at the price of the Lite and scrap the Lite, so I'm not so sure the price will drop unless you buy one used.

It is very worth buying especially considering that almost all the new games will be for DS.

Of course it's worth it, it's the largest selling video game system in history! (I think.) Absolutely NOT just for young children, I have just as much fun with my DS as I do with my 360. The Castlevania games are solid awesomness, as is Mario Kart, Mario 64, Metroid Prime, Dementium, Resident Evil, Ninja Gaiden, and Zombie BBQ among countless others. Haters only do so because they haven't tried the right games. Even games like Feel the Magic, Cooking Mamma, and Phoenix Wright are amazing fun if you just take the time to try them.

Yes DS lite is absolutely worth buying. It is cheap and very easy to handle. Incredible possibilities. I'm hooked. I can't get enough, that's why I'm writing in this forum in order to get points.

Unfortunately, the DS price isn't dropping where I live. It's the same since its launch!

You should check craigslist or some local listings site. Used DSs are always easy to fix up if it's a lil run down and the parts are amazingly cheap. DSs usually run for about 80 in my area now. That's really a deal you can't get for any console except for maybe the psp, but I personally don't enjoy the psp.
