I think it is, but I prefer DS lite.. I like the dual screen and one of them is a touch screen.. it is awesome! Compared to GBA and many other portable devices, the one & probably only better portable devices that I can think of is PSP.

Well. Last december I had the choice to either get a NDS or a slim PS2. And I choose PS2.Really I wouldn't pay the same amount of money for DS when I can play a better game collection with better graphics and easier controls on PS2.Yeah NDS is good and fun, but the games collection is really not balanced specially for my taste. Graphics wise PSP destroys DS with miles. And Games wise, we can say that DS has more kiddy games, while PSP has both kiddy and more amture games. So now u know why I didn't get DS :D

Personally I think the DS is a solid system but worth buying? I don't believe so.Main reason that I say this is because Even though it CURRENTLY has something that the emulators dont (WiFi), It's still a Game system that's overpriced until next gen, just like every other system has been and will be.On the other hand however, buying the system is a good Idea if you have the necessary hardware to transfer roms from DGemu onto the blank game sticks the DS games are sold on and utilize the Wifi features, but I'm not sure how attainable the necessary hardware or blank cartridges are.All in all The Games being 30-60 bucks each is what kills it. I'd rather sacrifice wifi to enjoy the single player experience of most games than sacrifice sixty bucks for a game that gets old after a month.

Uh, what? Get your sources straight.1. The NDS isn't expensive at all. I got a brand new Lite for $120 and games cost $30, but you could order a flashcard and put ds roms on that if you want.2. Nintendo recentley released the DSi, so wouldn't you think that nintendo's still going to make DS games?3. Nintendo actually makes good games for the DS

yes its worth buying. especially the dsi. just because of the fun you can have with the family. i also have a PSP but to my surprise. NDS is actually more fun playing (if you can get over the crappy graphics, and just enjoy the game).

I was thinking about upgrading to a Nintendo DS, and I was just wondering if it would be worth purchasing, like the game list. Is it extensive enough at the moment to truly be worth the while?

It actually depends on yourself, if do like the games released for this console then go ahead. I think it's a great console to buy, not only for it's mobility but also for it's games.

The DS is definitely worth buying. There are just so many games which appeal to all types of people. Like, if you are a casual gamer, you can play games like Cooking Mama or Nintendogs. If you are more serious, there are loads of RPGs within the DS library such as Final Fantasy and Etrian Odyssey. Of course, one of the fun thing about the DS is how they have many games with multiplayer options. So if you have friends who own the DS too, it is definitely worth the buy.

i think it is really worth it! the price is pretty reasonable for a game console plus it is very portable and convenient.the games for DS are also pretty interesting if you search and hunt carefully. the games available can also be played my people of different age like children to young kids and adults like myself, sometime elderly can play the simple games too..XDpersonally i like the DS because of the wide choice of games and the clean design of the console which makes it look sleek in it's way because of the clean outer finish.

I'm planning to get a DS, but I don't know what to choose among DS, DS Lite and DSi. Considering I've never owned a DS before, which one do you prefer me to get? I've heard mixed reviews about each of them, and I want to know which one would be the best out of the three to get.
