I like the battle style and the story was pretty nice. I don't think I ever beat the game : (

I absolutely LOVE this game! The battle sequence is so great, plus the combos and having to master them is absolutely wonderful! The only downside is, I reached up to Disc 4 and then my game got erased so I had to start over again from scratch...not ideal at all, man! 
But in any case, I highly recommend this game for all RPG fans out there!

the storyline, music, battles, and movies scenes are what made this game...one of the most amazing ps games next to final fantasy VII

The Legend of Dragoon was a weird game, but I liked it. Never finished it though, cause I lost the discs.

This game is my favorite game of all time, easily. I love the battle system, it's so original. I wish they would make a second one!

Hmm, I must say that this was a wonderful game. I borrowed it from a friend, so I never had the chance to finish it, but I loved the gameplay and story line. It had an awesome battle engine for an RPG! Actually interactive!

awesome game man its 2008 and i still own my copy rock on i never thought i would find more LOD fansfav team Dart- stuck with him mediocre character he doesnt excel in anything, standard hero Kongol- great dmg output and defense low magick defense and low speed, overall he's the tank you loveMeru- at the end of the game she is the best character 110 speed omfg thats insane and 600% addition (plus she gets a "PRETTY HAMMER")

This game was alright. I remember reading that it was a supposed "Final Fantasy killer", and to me, it never came close to that kind of hype.

Legend of Dragoon is one the best games for the PS1. I have beat it at least four time.

I remember playing this in my PS... then turning it into an ISO and then playing it on my emulator instead. Now I have a save with everyone's additions maxed with no extra grinding except for about an hour in total of "special" monsters (you know, those that run away but give lots of exp or gold if you manage to kill them). How? I think I missed about 10 additions in total in that game. Each time I got a new addition I would spend like 20 minutes practicing it using the save state feature. It's a lot more effective than waiting for the character's next turn, or the next random battle.The only gripe I have about this game is that once you get the final additions, most dragoon forms become kinda useless... with Rose Storm being the only exception I think. That and training up additions for everyone is a real pain; recommended is to just stick to a few main preferred characters or you'll never get the final additions (which are very powerful and worth getting).

To be blunt...I love the game (the characters, attack system, story line)...but some things about it really suck (The fact that the only magic you can use is in dragoon mode, you cant just summon the dragons (Like in FF10, more games should have that) and The "Black Monster"s Magic (The Demon's Gate is in her "inner sanctum")

This was one of the first rpgs I played and it really brought me into the whole relm of rpgs from then on. It is a great game because the battles were more interactive than other rpgs.

This was the first RPG i fell in love with on the PS. Awesome storyline.. Great gameplay, graphics was really good for its generation... Just love it love it love it!!

This was one of the first RPGs I played. It was a really good game. The battle system was simple and easy but fun. The storyline was pretty good, not exceptional, but good. I wish that they would've made the backstory, the history, more clear though. It could've been pretty interesting, I think.
