I agree with you there. It didn't seem to be as mainstream at first like say Final Fantasy VII. I only cam across it by pur accident.Anyhow, I like this game quite a bit too. It's best point would be the graphics and sound. Certainly top notch for the PSX. The problem with this game is the battle system. It was a nice idea, but could use improvment. Pretty much unless you complete your additions successfully each and every time, you'll do next to no damage. Why is it that you only inflict like 24 damage if you're one button away from a perfect addtion, but then that'd jump to lik 120 should the addition work? That lead to some very frustrating battles if you don't have save states. Plus the sneaky press circle to prevent counterattack idea happened to quickly for your mind to register that you needed to press an alternate button. That was LOD's major fall and the reason certain people on Gamefaqs rated it relatively low. That and the fact that there's way too much backtracking and that the overworld was designed in a way that you just couldn't skip to point D without going through A,B, and C first. That meant you had to go waste time beating up all the old enemies over and over again. Stardust hunting made this several times worse. If it weren't for that, it'd definately be a top notch game.Yea man i do remember that game, it was way dope. But it never got any credit for it because like it got over looked.

You Mean you used "Ultimate Wargod". It's not just difficult for you though. The game's biggest flaw is the amount of difficulty in completing additions. I would just reccomend to everyone to use a gameshark to put Ultimate Wargods on every character. Then you're all set to go and this game will be a lot more fun (Trust me). It'll still be challenging enough too. Certain bosses are just INSANELY HARD since they get like 3 attacks to every one of yours that do MASSIVE damage. The ability to turn into dragoons doesn't help either because of the crippling fact that you CAN'T HEAL WITHOUT SHANA! (or at least keeping at least one character in human form).yes!!! i remember it, i had to use the god battle belt thingy coz i couldnt do the addition myslef, especially dart's last one...way diff, n aso albert's one toowell, it could juz be my knobbly hands which are like butter fingers and have the reflex of a dead fly
