*According to anti-gaming politicians* It made me a sex-mongering, mega-violent, uber-spiteful child of the devil...*End* Anyone else want to kill some politicians that're against games, but have never played a single one?

Games...can't live without them, that is the truth. :o They make me relaxed when I'm having trouble with something and I feel so damn good while playing. And yes I'm addicted but that doesn't concern me at all! Well of course gaming has a bad side as well(at least for me): when I play too much and stop caring about everything, things often get bad. My parents would get mad at me when I play too much and that would make me mad as well. So I try not to overdo it much with playing(as much as that is possible, lol)! :)

Games is more like a way to relax oneself, like me. I wouldn't use the term addictive, cause we can live without games and it's not like we won't funtion right if we don't play game. I do agree when some game is excellent, u just want to finish it. Just like movies. How about the term attractive... :)

Hmmm.... I can deffinately say SOME games are addictive, now whether or not all of them are can definately be up for grabs.I know I personally couldn't live without gaming of any sort... then again, why would I want to? It's a good way to keep my mind off of things [chuckle]

i don't think i'm that addicted to gaming in general. now, some games are addictive, like pokemon. i remember, one summer, that was all i did. it was fun. and you always wanted to be the best. so you raised those little suckers up to be champs. heh. those were the days...

Games are addictive, yeah, but there has harmful as books or television. Games are simply a medium of presentating ideas. You can't make games movies, I think most people would agree with that, apart from a few outliner game-movies which were good. Some books can't be made into movies successfully. But it just happens that some books can give more influence towards violence and prejudice, I read a few like that.Having said that, my addiction with games goes so far as writing my final exam based on a game. I got 17 out of twenty. Can't be a bad addiction if I get scores like that!

gaming trains us in many ways: the hand-eye coordination, the ability to read and distinguishing objects....:starwars:

For me, it a way to relax and also to leave reality behind. Normally, I go on for an hour at least on a school day, and as long as I can on weekends. So unless I have a good book to read, I'm infront of the pc :P I don't think it affects my grades much... at least not yet :P

uh, that's the most common reason we gaming addicts use to evade some bad reactions... i play games for relaxation, sometimes to set my mind before i review, a way of conditioning myself.

Gaming is sometimes educational, sometimes personality-deteriorating.

i've kinda gotten over gaming to be honest, it's just the same thing over and over again (ok, maybe i'm just jaded by substandard rpgs or shooters).train = higher values = better character/stats/damage = beat level/boss = repeatbut i do play games for a great story, e.g ff7, baldur's gate ii, half life

"A boy has the right to dream. There are endless possibilities stretched out before him. What awaits him down the path, he will then have to choose. The boy doesn't always know. At some point, the boy then becomes an adult, and learns what he was able to become. Joy and sadness forever will accompany this. He is confronted with a choice. When this happens, does he bid his past farewell in his heart? Once a boy becomes an adult, he can no longer go back to being a boy. The boy is now a man. Only one thing can be said. A boy has the right to dream. For those endless possibilities are stretched out before him. We must remember. All men were once boys."

Gaming lets me relax. It clears my mind of the day to day. It takes me away from this world and into another, it lets me be someone else who can do other things and have great adventures.I can be a hero, a villian, a daredevil whatever.
