im curious, personaly i love sports games... mario golf, madden, nhl, nba live, theyre all great, but people r always saying how they hate sports games. jus curious y

i dont not like sports games... i love basketball games... and i actually like hocky video games... but i dont like hocky at all

I like some sports games but I don't like the others because they don't add anything new or exciting. Thats why I liked NBA Jam,NBA Street Vol.2 and NFL Blitz 2000

Heh I don't like soccer games but I like the sport. Winning 11 is ok though.

It's kind of funny with me.I love watching basketball, and football on tv, but don't really play the video games of them. And I hate watching golf on tv, but I absolutely love playing golf games. I have quite a collection of them.

The best thing about sports games is that it's another forum for you to have fun with. It's fun playin ball on the court and on the console. You can be good at either/or, and give your friends crap about it later

It's not that I don't like sports games, it's just that I don't like the Genre as much as RPGs, FPS's, Puzzle games, RTS's, platform games, Turn-Based Strategy games, or hybrids of those types. Sport games are on the bottom of my list mainly becasue they emulate real life, and I play games to escape from that.

I guess the only reason I don't like sports games is that I prefer games with long story lines and where the characters can grow and have awesome powers like RPGs or Action/Adventure games. Sports games are more of a flat out competions like fighting games.

people also say that sports games dont have a purpose, but some games have purposes n stuff. like madden, franchise mode, if u pick the right team it cul be reallllllllllly hard. same thing with NHL 2004's dynasty mode

Football is always football, you throw a ball and score touchdowns. The only thing that changes is the players(WOOPEE!!!) and the graphics. Personally id rather tear someone apart with bullets than hug them and drag them to the ground.

I don't hate sports games at all. I love NCAA 2004 and I've already preordered 2005 [comes out July 13th, btw]. I don't like them much on the PC, though. BTW, the **BEST** sports game EVER was Mega Man Soccer! <Go Mega Man!>im curious, personaly i love sports games... mario golf, madden, nhl, nba live, theyre all great, but people r always saying how they hate sports games.

Lets see.1. Every year they release a new one expecting you to buy it so you can stay 'up to the minute' with Team Rosters.2. Gameplay never changes. If it did, then it wouldnt exactly be a sports game, now would it?3. Most gamers dont care about sports. At least, not the normal nerdy types.That enough for ye?

Sprts games are the best... just like any type of game out there! I think that people who stick primarily to sprts games are people who can't comprehend new styles of games, and who have to get enjoyment out of playing the same storyless crap over and over, but with a different title. With this said, I love sports games too.

i like some of the sports games but i think that most of them are repetitive and lack being unique. So i think that the only reason they arent as popular is because maybe people already have a sports game and dont feel the need for any more.

who said sports games are bad. i think there are some boring one out there but the game people seem to do wonders with sports that many people look down upon. Mario golf, Mario Tennis, there also Dead or ALive Volleyball but sport game rock
