Well, i don't fancy them as they're practically the same; kick the ball, goal, win the game. One could say that many sport games are more than just kicking balls, but the basics are that. And i don't like repititive games.

It's not that I don't like sports games, it's just that I don't like the Genre as much as RPGs, FPS's, Puzzle games, RTS's, platform games, Turn-Based Strategy games, or hybrids of those types. Sport games are on the bottom of my list mainly becasue they emulate real life, and I play games to escape from that.

I don't like sport games because they fail in my opinion to simulate playing the actual sport, I guess its just me and my high expectations for a game but i picture sport games as a simulator for the experence of plaing an actuall sport. I personally would much rather play a sport than watch a computer play it for me. Its almost like watching people play video games, sure they might be crazy good at it and you might suck but you can only get better at things through failure and not sucess. This is the opposite of what sport games promote in my mind.

Cause it reminds them of the real world and how they suck at it. Not really, it just gets repetitive.

I argree with Noralua as they do get repetative, but also ppl play games (mostly) because they are unrealistic and just fun. Why play a football game when u can just go out and do it yourself?

There are only a few sports I'm remotely interested in/know the proper rules for, so it takes quite a bit for me to be interested.I used to play racing games, but they eventually started to make me motion sick. Or, the ones that didn't bored me. >_>; The only aspect I'm ever interested in anymore is if the game offers a sort of management aspect to the game - ie: down to how much souvenirs and food costs at the stadium, how much the players, mascot, cheerleaders; other staff get paid; etc, etc, etc.I have no interest in the actual game. Just the management aspects behind the game. I doubt there are any sports games out there that would let me click a button and skip the actual game for the sport and focus entirely on the management aspects. >_>; And from what I understand, few sports games even lets you play around with much of the management aspects.

I hate it because if I wanted to play a sports game, I'd do it in real life instead. They are also quite boring games.

I don't "hate" sports games. In fact, I enjoy Pro Evo games. What I do dislike, however, is the tendency for a company to release what is practically the same game with new stats every year. Sure, they sometimes add new features, but hardly any of these do anything to make the game more varied or interesting. The pro evo series does try to improve the gameplay, at least, but not really enough to justify purchasing it every year.

Well, let me ask you this: are you a sports lover? I'm assuming yes. Then chances are, you'll understand and enjoy sports games. For people (like myself) who either don't understand sports or are just bored by them, yeah, sports games are kind of boring to us.

i love sports games, started with fifa 2000 when i was 9, now i love the nba 2k series, they can get monotonous after a while though and i tend to lsoe interest, rather play physically than on the console.
