The thing with sports games is there are predictableIn the EA Live series once u master the hardest difficulty it becomes boring.Ur able to predict wat the computer does plus once u find a way of beatin the game u can use it over and overfor me sports games are ok but they become repetitive so thats why u traade em in ;)

Game developers try to make their games more and more realistic by improving the graphics or includingrealistic physics engines and stuff. But they fail to see that games are for PLAYING, notto imitate the real world. It is more so with sports games, than with any other genre."Never fix something that isn't broken" they think - and soeverytime a "new" sports game is released, it's practicallythe same game that it was before, but with better graphics. Why not change the rules ? Why not make something entirelynew ? Because the masses like it as it is an the publisherscan make millions of dollars with it. Updated graphics are onlyan excuse to sell the same game again. If I want it to be "realistic" I go out and play soccer, basketball (or whatever) myself. No need for a computer game for this...But where can you run around in a spacestation and shootat other people in a deathmatch ;) or explore mysterious worldsfull with unknown creatures and people ? Yes- in GAMES.Many sports games (the EA kind) IMO are only imitations of real-life games and therefore not worth playing. Don'tget me wrong - there are good sports games, but they are rare.

I've played some fun sports games. All the sports games on NES for example were really good. And Tony Hawk 2 was good.

You know, anything I can do legally and in a very REAL way in life, I don't want to do in a videogame. I played soccer for like 11 years, MVP 3 times. Fun fun. However, playing in a videogame what I can do in real life...uh uh. What a waste of videogame and real life time. Anyway yeah, that's my take on it.~ZroPh33r

I don't like sport games because there the same thing everytime. Anyways, if you wanna play a sport than go outside and pass a ball, games for me are for escaping reality not bringing back the fact that I can't tossed good ;)

I don't hate them, but I do think that there are too many cheap cash in games out here. THAT and of all the genres, they're one of the easiest to translate into reality.

You know, the only thing I enjoy about sports games is if they offer something the REAL sport won't give me. Realistic sports games don't interest me...it's just like the real thing but not as good. It's much less real...~Z

sports games rock, they're leading the gaming industry for its realistic movements and allow gamers to do moves that they would never be able to do in real life!

For me, sports games are fine for an hour or two, and the game never really changes. In RPGs and such, there's a story which ends and nothing new really happens, but with sports games then there is no surprise or suspense in plot.Personally I prefer non-sports games, but I don't mind playing them occasionally.
