I don't like sports games... mainly because I don't like sports... Plus, I prefer RPGs anyway.

I really like sports games. One of my favorite types. I probably like them cause i really like sports. They are great to play multiplayer also. My favorites are the nhl games, madden games, and the mario ones.

It's because sports games aren't a defining category for video games. I mean, the bulk of the video gaming population doesnt think of sports games in the same light as RPGs or other major genres.

When it comes to sports games i just need someone to play it with. So its only good for me when friends come over. I occasionaly buy a soccer or basketball game but i'd rather be out playing the sports than using a console.

They are all the exact same thing, only with one polygon count higher graphics and the newest players, that's why.

Just as I am with real life sports, I keep my sports games down to pretty much one game: football. I love the Madden games, and get especially smug when I beat down all my guy relatives when playing. Plus, I suppose it's a way to play the game without getting destroyed by a whole flock of guys who weigh twice my weight and could snap my arms with their teeth. 'Course though, this excuse only works 'cause I'm a girl.

meh, i dont think so. Maybe they rather play them sports themselves instead of staying home playing them with tiny machines. I personally like both playing soccer myself or in videogames, so no difference for moi.

You can't say everyone hates sportsgames.I think... to like them, first you have lo like sports and then.... talking about sports it's always better real life action.

People think all you do is just score. People don't like sports games because maybe they have no intrest in them even in real life. I like sports games.. Like Baseball, because you can trigger them to run back and forth. Some games let you hit people.

Maybe because it much more fun go outside and actually play the games.No archery game could ever be as good as the real thing.

Others have posted this above but i will repeat it....Its better to actually go out and PLAY the sport instead of a video game. And besides there are so many poor quality sports games out there it ruins the reputation. FIFA-98 on the N64 remains the best sports game ever though. And i think sports games do have a big following otherwise EA would be struggling which it definetly isn't heh.

I think sports should be played outside and not on a screen. However, I won't say no to a Sensible Soccer or Kick Off tournament with the guys on the Amiga
