Also, you can have up to 3 seperateCampaign saves.War Room mode is back and it's safe to assume that there are a few new maps coming in with a few changes in enemyCO in current maps.Vs. Mode now has the option of regular battle similar tothe last two games, or the new DS battle. The DS battlemode so far seems to feature not one battle but two, onefought by your first CO and the second by your second CO.Also, units from the bottom screen can be sent to thetop, just in case any extra help is needed.Survival, entirely new to the series, pits players inlimited situations based on 3 types. These are money,turns, and time. Money limits the player's total funds toa set ammount. Turn limits the total turns that can beused. Time actually sets a real time clock in the form ofminutes:seconds to act as a time limit to complete themap, much like timed games in chess.Combat, another new mode, is a real time mode where theplayers pick units to deploy and then take control ofeach one to attack the other player. Its more actionorientated compared to the rest of the game.Wars Shop remains as it always has, buy maps, COs, COColor Edits and the like here. Now, it seems that after certain points in Campaign, new unlockable units become available to buy there.History, while not a game play mode, allows you to seewhat's been done in the game from points earned, unitsbeaten, units lost, and so forth.Multiplayer now features the whole wireless play packagefrom other DS games offering regular battles with 2-4players, DS battles with 2 players, map trading, combatbattles with 2-8 players and messages that can be typedin battle to one another.Sound Room is back and with more sounds than ever, fromthe new CO themes to the returning CO themes from thepast games.Gallery Mode is back too with the unlock requirements ofbeating Campaign.Edit Mode returns with CO Color Edits, Map Maker and nowlets you choose how you want the background in the menusto appear. 30 backgrounds are available, 29 of which mustbe unlocked.New features:Dual COs and Tag PowersWell, now things have become a bit more complicated inWars World as 2 COs can now command a single army and canbe switched at will. Not too excited about Kanbei'sprices? No problem, build units as Andy and then switchto Kanbei. Of course, there's some extra substance toit, Tag Powers. In short, think of it as psuedoLightning Strike. If both your COs have enough gatheredpower to use their SCO Powers both can use them in one turn. First, the first SCO Power isactivated and units take their turn as usual, then thesecond CO activates his/her SCO Power and take their turnre-moving the same units. Also, certain COs (like Jakeand Rachel with Orange Crush, Grit and Olaf with ForeverBlue and Sasha and Colin with Blue Impulse) when pairedhave a special damage increase when using their Tag Powers. Some COs however, like Nell/Von Bolt actually lose offensive power when using Tag Powers. Special Tags are noted by a little window on the CO Info screen with up to 3 other COs and as many as three stars next to each name. Each star represents a 10% damage boost for both COs when using Tag Powers.Ranks and ForcesNow, COs have their own little experience system set up.As they complete battles and go up in experience, theyalso go up in Rank. Ranks range from 0-10 to a max of *and with each rank, they get new forces to equip. Thesenew forces give them little bonuses in battle like a +5%boost for direct units, +1 transport movement to +10% onmountains. So far, it seems that each CO can only equip4 forces at one time, so pick wisely. Also, considering the wide range of force combinations out there, it can be easy to get them mixed up. So, in Versus mode at least, you can save four sets of forces for each of your COs.Other OutfitsSo far, the E3 video has shown Andy and Sami in distinctly different outfits than normal. They can be unlocked by reaching Rank 10 with the respective CO.New and Changed Weather Effects:Rain now brings Fog of War, plain and simple.Snow no longer inhibits movement range, it instead doubles the fuel used to go over terrain, that includes all units, even planes in the air and ships in the sea.A new effect, sandstorm, has come which lowers the range of all indirect units by 1.Little Other Things:In addition to face animations returning, it seems thatsometimes the units make little text bubbles duringbattles. Strange.So far, people with Gameboy Wars 1+2 (yes, Japan got bothgames a few months ago on one cart) have reported thatextra things like easter eggs can be unlocked with thecart in the GBA slot.Now, instead of filling up by cost based matters, CO Meters will now fill based on units lost. So, 3 infantry which would usually fill a small star by 1/3rd will now completely fill it and tanks and recons fill the meter by 1 small star when defeated. Of course, that's only for the first use of a CO or SCO Power.A note on CO Powers, they now have a default 10% increases in defense and now offense.Bolt Guard, Is that like a new Empire/Nation?
