No not samurai on waffle bubbles, it just a photoshop question...you all can post whatever question you want on here. My question though is what is the masking tool used for and how does it work..like the quick mask and all those other masking tools. Please have your answeres posted on this and no other links to other sites cause I'm using a comp at school cause I don't have internet at home anymore and here at school they block almost anythin with this damn saint bernard thing. So my question is about the masking tool,...and also how to get around this damn blocker thing...

The masking tool allows you to extract a part of a photo like a person, animal, or whatever. The masking tool is at the bottom of the toolbar. It's the square with the circle inside it. You can just mouse over it to find it. Click on it to enter masking mode. While in mask mode, you paint over everything BUT the object you want. By default, what you paint will be translucent red. When you're done, just click the mask icon again in the toolbar. Now, the object you painted around will be surrounded with the "marching ants" border just as if you were to use the magic lasso. Now you can move, cut, paste or whatever you want with the object. I hope this makes sense.

As for the masking part, a mask is something that hides/covers from site. Im just learning this in school this semester. The mask will allow you to say render our a pic easier. As for the Blocker, there is 2 things you can do. First thing is of course, get the code to the blocker to shut it off, if you pay close enough attention, most teachers (at least my teacher) arent too good at hidding passwords and stuff. Second, you can try a IP blocker/scatter'er which may allow you to bypass the internet restrictions. You can find on by going to google and searching "the cloak". im not going to give you a link cuz that would be wrong
. I dont suggest that you do any of the things i said, cuz it would be wrong and dishonest. Do them at your own lesiure and under your own free will. LOL i always wanted a disclaimer
