I see no problem with allowing it into any form of entertainment. After all, you choose to watch/play it, and any parent that complains is an utter moron for buying something with a nice big 'R' on the front in the first place. It's mainly incompetent parents trying to foist blame on the first target they see.

It just depends on what game you're playing. If it's just sex for the sake of sex then no! But if it fits into the plot, then... okay...

There seem to be developers who think that if they advertise that their game has sex in it, people will automatically buy it. I don't care if there's sex in it or not, what I care about is gameplay. Most of the time sex doesn't add anything to the game.

Every single member of the male sex is susceptible to the mind-washing abilities of potential sex. When men sees bras, panties, boobs, you name it, we become idiots. We're willing to accept ridiculous trade-agreements and proposals (hence why women have an astounding ability to manipulate us). It's a pretty big advertising ploy.Personally I approve of them putting sex in games, provided the games are aged properly (not that it matters if a 14 year old gets a hold of a 18+ rated game) and not advertised too much on that aspect of it. In certain games, it increases realism and immersion.

I havent seen a game that has direct sex in it, so I dont get what you guys are talkin bout, i mean the closest equivalent would be when cj (san andreas) walks in for *coffee* and the controller rumbles...its not direct visual, its a presumed idea...but yeah they are having sex, buts its just a point...*shot*

I agree with one of you saying if we want sex in games, there's already hentai games for that. But it would be sweet if in RPGs, the main character doing a silhoutte of sex scene and ended up having children at the game's ending.

No. Because I don't play games to get horny or excited, I play games to have fun. I don't really like the idea of playing a game killing some people and after getting hard because some character is exiting you, I don't like the mix.I think games and sex should not mix.some said in movies there is sex, "usually" it's for the story, but yes sometimes it doesn't have anything for the story.

Because sex is a reality and realistic games usually like realistic things. Sex in games can work, it's just that it's main purpose is usually to turn people on, and to turn people on only. We need more creative people if we want games with sex in them that are actually good.

I say...YES!!! but onlyif it adds to the story, it's just like watching a movie, some movies would have gaping storyholes had it not been for the sex scenes.

Really, give us women some credit. Even I can enjoy my games with sex in it occasionally...like the Sims 2...however that's with all my dirty mods and characters that are mine and my boyfriend's. Other then that...eh. If I'm in a dirty mood, I'll stick to written smut. Games just don't do it for me. However, it does not bother me if it's included provided it's in the right age group(marked AO or M).I play for fun...why do I need to find my eyes glued to a pair of jiggly breasts? I swear...one of these fighting games my boyfriend has I just zoned out and got destroyed because all I could do was focus on Mai's bounciness. Same with added scenes that I know are there just to set guys off. I mean, has anyone else noticed old women are not in games?(and for the most part, lack ugly girls?) With all the males I see...fat...ugly...old...ect. It's all guy eye candy. Nipples can show in shirts, bouncy breast, pantie shots...ect...but if there was, say an obvious erection in a guys pants, I'm sure all hell would break lose.Mind you, even if that was included, I'd still be like "Eww, why is that showing?", but it's just an example how the market only wants to appease to men. Well, other then maybe a few games which have countless gems for me to stare at...but you know.

I think, if it helps to progress a storyline, then yes it should... However how often does sex progress a storyline?

Eh, if you want to play sex games, go and play second life.Sex in games should be like sex in movies; there, possibly erotic, but just another silly plot point to the main story.

Then again, most games are targeting males, so that there is more fan-service for guys isn't really an enigma.

It really depends of what you define as sex, it's different in each cultures too. But, I think games without sex are better because I try to play games to have fun, not to see nude people.

I just think it's funny.Over the top violence in games = okSex in games = OMG How sick. This is just reflective of the Western culture of hero worship and a core fundamentalist belief system. Alot of cognitive dissonance going on.

I was thinking the same thing, about violence in games, but, this topic is about sex in games, consequently, I did not mention it.But, violence in games are always rated 13 or older or 17 or older, thus, unless the "child" is old enough to buy it, it's the parents responsibility.

I agree that it's very hypocritical of people to say sex is worse than violence. I mean, isn't it better for kids to learn about sex, rather than violence? I'd most certainly want my kids to know about sex rather than how to shoot someone in the head, or how to beat someone down with a baseball bat.

I feel that people are over restricting what is put in games and what their children witness or what is socially acceptable. I think that people should allow more sex and violence in games but I dont think it "needs" to be there its just that it should be allowed if it is part of the game however I think that people who just want more stuff to get off on should keep it out of my games.

Like most of the replies given, I think that it depends on the context of the game, but games don't sell because of the sex in them ( there is an entirely seperate market for that). I mean people did not buy GTA because of the sexual content, but for the elements of exploration and freedom of the game and the ability to customise the character.
