I feel we really need to classify what sex in games would really mean.What i really mean is whether sex in games are placed there either for a)our own personal sexual gratification or b)important story line purposeIf you are talking about sex in games as the type that is just placed in to sell to 'adult' gamers then the answer would be no considering that is already a substantial amount of said games in the market. An example would be the japanese market in which a hentai game seems to be realeased every month or so.If on the other hand you are talking about sex in games as the type that is placed in as a plot point, then it is welcome. If the sex was to show us just how much character A felt for character B and it was supposed to show the culmination of their journey or something along those lines, then it actually would be welcome since it would allow us to feel for the characters.

NO! Putting Sex in games will Only Ruin the game cuz it will make you forget everything about the game itself and concentrate on sex only

I'm cool with sex in video games.As long as it's part of a classy plot, well executed and not obvious on the sexual simulation. People get more sexual material exposure to pretty much every other media type than video games anyway. Television and Movies, for example.

How do you define a classy plot? What is classy to one person could be sleazy to another. As for your final argument, Leisure Suite Larry isn't always obvious about the fact that it is sexual. Would it be fit your standards? Any scales that societies create are going to be completely arbitrary. The MPAA which rates films in the United States has very clear rules for each of their ratings. My question to you is why should it matter if half of someone's butt is showing or a third? We see the same things happen when they rate video games.

So if I made a game where the main objective was to have sex with as many women as possible, that would be classy? The sex wouldn't be random and the game could be written well despite that being the premise.

Oh of course that's acceptable. I think I was mainly thinking of movies at the time though.

As many people have already said, it really depends on whether or not it fits the storyline. Rarely should it be necessary in a game, but when it is, I'd prefer it to be implied, rather than blatantly showed. I did buy the game for enjoyment afterall, not porn.

Yup, such as the case with Grand Theft Auto San Andreas with that hot coffee cheat. People totally got outraged by such material in a game... Games can involve relationships, and maybe hints of a night spent together doing you know what, but having it explicitely shown or controlling it will just cause alot of people to riot against the game. As mrcn! says, if you want to play a game for sex, just go and buy specific hentai or porn games. Normal games should be enjoyable without such content.

I agree buy a sex game or a normal game
