i love em both...all three family guy dvd things and the first few seasons of south park on dvd...but south park wins, because of the very thing it pointed out about family guy...its all just the same interchangable jokes that have nothing to do with the plot. its still hilarious, but it really doesnt add to whats going on in the show in any way.oh yeah...@ those who say south park is "too crude"...i dont think you really watch family guy. family guy has had some disgusting stuff on it.oops...almost forgot to mention what i like best about south park. take swearing 8 year olds and a screwed up society and turn it into a kickass social commentary; what can beat that?!

i wonder if family guy will poke fun at a south park because south park and family guy have this little feud going on. but it takes about 3 months to make one ep of family guy so by the time they make the joke it will be old

family guy...its funnier and doesn't make fun of lots of things like south park.. i mean it makes fun of things..but not as much as south park

Personally I like both...depends on the mood really. sometimes for example I find southpark funnier than family guy but again , I like em both ^^

Sorry, I feel alone saying this but I'd rather watch South Park. I agree that it is old and sometimes repetitive but there is that special occasion where there is a incredibly unique episode that makes fun of real life events (i.e. terry sciavo/PSP epispde)But Family Guy also has it's unique way of telling jokes. I hate it when people say simpsons is like Family Guy. Simpsons doesn't use FG's way of "Hey remember that time when..."

South Park. Family Guy uses so many jokes in one episode that their staff is running out. South Park is better because it just makes a bunch of random stuff up out of the blue. And they have good movies.

Difficult to compare the two, really. Both have their good and bad episodes, and in the case of South Park, good and bad series. All in all though, I prefer South Park, because while the style of Family Guy is superior, its constant references to U.S. pop-culture frequently and irritatingly go over my head. (To be honest, I like American Dad better than either).

I don't see how the two can even be put in the same category. South Park has satirical, clever humor that is relevent to the plot. It's way better then that assinine attention-getting "remember when" crap that's so prevalent in Family Guy. I'll be honest, there have been a few seens of Family Guy that have made me giggle, but it just can't compete with South Park.

Hmmm. South Park SOMETIMES has satirical, clever humour, and the times when it hits the target are very good indeed, but just as often they come up with episodes full of humourless obscenities which detract from the public perception of the series and support the arguement that the show is created with the sole purpose of trying to offend everyone. Family guy is consistantly mediocre, SP fluctuates wildly between greatness and inanity.
