Well, everyone has to have a favorite and least favorite final fantasy. For example, my favorite final fantasy is FFX, for the character build-up system, and more importantly the story. My least favorite is FFVIII, mostly because of disc 2. It's not that that disc is hard by any means, but it's just so freaking boring! If hat disc was more fun, it coul be a contender. Oh yeah, FFX barely beats FFVII because of the graphics. If it wasn't for the graphics, FFVII would be my #1 followed closely by FFX, but that's not the case, so it's the other way around.

FFVII, two out of three (third being shadow in FF3) of my favorite characters are in there, Cid, and the mighty Vincent (Chaos)... and I love the whole materia minimanagement system, and the weapons (ruby, emerald, ultima) are the hardest f-ers to ever grace any FF game... close behind is FFIII...

Favorite: Final Fantasy X-2. Bring the job system back, add good graphics, add Rikku in said graphics, natch. Yeah, I love the job system, which is the only thing that places this above 6.Least Favorite: Final Fanboy 7. I don't think there is anything great in this. Textbook characters (whiney main character with amnesia, healing girl, monkish character, shadey past character, obnoxious black guy, mutant, dirty old man. Hell, I've seen this in freaking DBZ, I don't need it in Final Fantasy). And Materia was a pretty dumb magic system. Only beaten in dumbness by the junction system. And only by a little bit.

wow that was passionate. waiting along time to get that out have we? my favorite is final fantasy 7. a game that is proof that the majority is not always wrong. it has a great story, GREAT characters, and at the time it had some of the best graphics around. it basically heralded a new era in consul rpgs. you can bad mouth it all you want (i think some people do just to be confrontational) but it in many ways set the bar for consul rpgs today.as for least favorite i really didnt like x-2 that much. shopping for dresses, playing matchmaker, lookin for boyfriends...all they left out was a little tea party mini game. (i realize that is borderline sexist but if youve played the game you know exactly what i mean.)

"shopping for dresses, playing matchmaker, lookin for boyfriends"You did none of this. Are you sure you played the game?1. You didn't buy dress spheres, and they weren't actually dresses.2. Hard to play matchmaker when Yuna has already made up her mind. Look up what a matchmaker is please.3. You were looking for Shuyin once you actually got into the storyline. Shuyin has a very little chance of being one of their boyfriends since this whole thing about destroying the world is because he lost his one true love, Lenne.

1. i meant to write looking for dresses.2. there is the matchmaker minigame in the calm lands3. the whole premise behind her sphere hunter thing is her search for tidus. (and id elaborate more but i dont know who has beaten this game and who is still playing) 4. (and i cant stress this enough) i was joking.... ya know haha (still one girly donkey game though)

I haven't played any of the later FF games (VII, VIII, IX, X, XI and XII), so my thoughts might be inaccurate, but the best FF game I've played is FF3. I mean, what's not to like? Memorable characters (Kefka and Shadow are my favourites), nice soundtrack, graphics that were great for the era that the game was made in, a decent storyline, and an easy-to-use esper system. And the biggest point for the game in my humble opinion is the fact that it was the first game I'd ever played where the heroes actually fail to save the world from destruction. Nothing can convince me that that wasn't the coolest plot point ever.As for the worst FF game, that prize goes to FFXI (I've seen other people playing it, that's how I can say this whilst being uninformed). Remember kids; Just say NO to MMORPGs.

Favorite: VIII, X, and X-2Least: VII and IXX and X-2 is pretty good. Only beat X and on my way on finishing X-2. I think VII is heavily overrated, and IX had crappy looking character with a somewhat okay story.

I've played every Final Fantasty to date except for X-2 and XI, and I have to say that my favorite so far is Final Fantasy X. Some fans say you fall in love with first one you play, and that one's always your favorite. Not so. FFX is my favorite, because the boss battles require the most thought. And if you use an effective strategy, the boss is very simple. If you use a poor one, the boss is damned near impossible. Not to mention blitzball. I love that part of the game too. I never lose a game any more but that makes it all the more fun to see how much I can beat them by.. FF7 just seemed very slapdash to me. Some parts they put a lot of effort into, and other parts seemed like they did what they could solely to scrape by (compare the train jumping movie to the Motorcycle escape movie).

Fave: FF7. especially with it's dramatic graphix breakthru, great storyline, hilarious minigames, not bad a battle system, this rpg's almost unbeatable during it's time!Least Fave: FF9, cus it gets VERY boring after fighting 1000s of monsters just to lvl up!

hmm, I enjoyed FF3j.The first turn-based RPG with a good job system. I do admit, mini dungeons were very annoying, but I don't think they made it a bad game. I'll rate the FF also, in my preferanceFF1 - 4/10FF2j - 1/10FF3j - 8/10FF4 - 9/10FF5 - 7/10FF6 - 10/10FF7 - 1/10FF8 - 2/10FF9 - 3/10FF10 - 8/10FF10-2 - 10/10FF11 - 4/10FF12 - 8/10 *based on early information*

Personally, id have to say my favorite is 6. Probably the best looking oldie out of em all. Plus some of the coolest characters........namely Locke and Edgar. Though FFX's Auron was probably the coolest character outta the whole series.

The old SNES FF's mostly, but Final Fantasy 4 would be my favorite as it was the first I played and has a huge nostalgia factor. Final Fantasy 11 was a HUGE disapointment. You have to pay monthly for the game, you can't play it with anything but broadband so you have to pay for that, you have to pay extra for the ps2 adapter, and lastly the game just wasn't all that good. Personally I think they should have dubbed it "Final Fantasy Online" and not included it in the series, as it's not at all in spirit of the true series. It's just a let down through and through.
