crush. Yes. Love. No. Loving a character is overdose for me but I do think some characters are very likely to have people falling in love with. Some Anime characters are just too handsome or Bishounenish to be resisted or too beautiful/perfect. It does seem a little odd though, if you look at it through a third person's view... Imagine a girl/boy everyday chatting about their love... (Later finding out this 'love' is fictional) Then seeing the girl/boy sitting on a chair staring at a character the whole time/day... 
It'd be quite the sight. (Mind you, I'm not making fun, just giving my thoughts about waaayyy too deep-in-love-with-fictional-characters people. But I also find it cute.) Sigh, I guess this is an experience of 'Love' that'll eventually break when reality falls in. (Like, their fictional characters.. Hello? Are you listening??)

It's more a thing of falling in love with the voice actor. I love the voice of Faye Valentine.

I'm a girl so I'd have to say Saitou Hajime. In English it should be Hajime Saitou, but anyway, he's from Rurouni Kenshin. To be honest, it's kinda embarressing, I am like obsessed with the guy. I think that may be because he's like the perfect man for me, or at least his personality. He is a character to be admired, unfortunatly I haven't met anyone who matches him in the least. For now, dreaming is the best I can do.

me? I am bethrothed to thatz, this super cool guy from DRAGON kNIGHTS, so dont you think about stealing my sweetheart from me,Uhh, wow this is akward indeed. I have to say I liked Lain the most out of all anime females, but nothing I would consider love, and certainly not worth marrying over.

I never fall in love with an anime character, for me it sound a bit weird to fall in love with someone you can;t touch, but i understand when others have that feelings.

Err, in my mindset, having an attraction as strong as love to anything that does not truly and physically exist is not normal. Undoubtedly, anime characters can be designed to be handsome, sexually attractive, etc., with desirable characteristics, but a person should not be in so strong a dedication to an electronic medium that they would grow attached to an anime character with which they have not had any communication or actions.And the definition of "love" is incredibly ambiguous and skewed. I assume that this topic refers to romantic love, but:I don't see why people have such a problem, It can be a normal thing.
To some people, "love", like in this instance, can be something to which someone masturbates, or in other instances, love can be the attraction to someone due to the sexual pleasure they can incur. The definition has changed, clearly.Love can also be construed as Platonic love, religious love, familial love, and, more casually, great affection for anything considered strongly pleasurable, desirable, or preferred, to include activities and foods. I have never fallen in Love with a character from a cartoon (Anime for those Purists).But I did feel strangely hurt when Aeris Died in Final Fantasy VII, I was quite bummed. And When I watch the Advent Children the movie, when I saw her and Zak Waving Goodbye to Cloud in the Church, I thought to my self “she sure is a cute girl”, too bad she died.Quickly I realized that I was actually thinking that this women was dead, and that if she were alive that I'd even remotely have a shot with her. I now have come to the conclusion that I did in deed have a crush on a fictional character and that I need to rethink things. I plan on going out side and give my real girl-friend a big Kiss just to remind my self that I don't have to hold on to thoughts of fantasy when the Real think is so much better.** there are thing that my fantasy girls "will do" that my GF won't, shoot there are a few things that I'm scared to even ask my GF to Do :@
