I like my native language, Burmese. I find it dumb how people who aren't Japanese study Japanese just because they were inspired to by anime and manga. It's dumb and it shows how much of a wannabe one is.

I simply am FOND of Latin! The most beautiful language ever spokens, the universal language (ok, not that since 2nd millenium, but yet beautiful!). Unfortunately, I cannot speak this language, just Portuguese (mother language), English, Spanish and (starting) French. I intend to learn Latin, Italian and German in 2009, but... let's see, I think Latin is a bit unpractical, in my town there are no Latin courses (damned prejudice... in Brazil if you say 'Latin' people always reply 'uh, a dead and useless language')Uh, is there anybody out here that speaks or at least would also like to speak Esperanto? It's such a intriguing language. It's not the only man made language nor the first, I think, but is the most successful one, has some millions speakers around the world. A cousin of mine speaks Esperanto, its interesting, I means, it has it's own verbal tenses and structures. Some words are very similar, if not identical, to English ones.

To talk with my friends, I almost ALWAYS talk french. But to play games, english rocks. For those of you that can also read french, in the game Fire Emblem: Rekka No Ken for the GBA, the class Swordmaster got translated to "bretteur". I'm french, and did not even know this word existed.

I would have to say Japanese. Like when I set my Soul Calibur voiceover option to Japanese and they yell things like UTSUKEEE!! and KI-AAAAAI!! It just sounds neat when they're angry. I also enjoy the CALM Japanese talk. Tsudekodo oterai izu. Heh. Awesome.

Nothing better than your primary language, so my favorite would be English. I think it would be great to learn latin because I used to sing it in choir. Plus I heard it's great for academics with all the prefixes and suffixes.

I agree. I had to take 3 years of spanish and I stunk at it. I don't even remember as much spanish as I did before I took those classes lolI like knowing english since it has become known worldwide. I'm in my second year of Japanese (日本語は楽しい!!) and I have to say that it is an easier than what some would think (its just the kanji that sucks). And I like the person on the front page that wrote some Japanese in romanji challenging people to tell her what it means when she used wrong verb conjugations, absense of particals, and wrong word order. Cute.If I were to learn another language after Japanese I would probably learn Italian. It's a beautiful language with awesome food ^^
