There are other reasons as to why you would want to purchase the game.1) Unlike Reign of Chaos, In custom and BNet games, after your hero reaches level 5, you can't level anymore with regular creep killing. This helps noobs who ae just starting to play BNet and gives them clues as to how they set up their strategy.2) Upkeep limit was raised(i.e. 50 for Low Upkeep, 80 for High, 100 for max limit). This allows you to build a stronger attacking force without losing too many resources to upkeep.3) A Tavern system was set up for neutral heroes that can be hired by either side. So in the scenario where you an all out offensive strategy you can get three strength characters. Same applies for the cunning and mage heroes. Also, the tavern system allows you to revive heroes if your altar gets destroyed for a price of course.4) The new heroes implemented are more useful as well. For Night Elves, the Warden is awesome because of her ultimate spell. there have been many times where I find myself in the recieving end of a Demon Hunter spamming Serpent Ward as a rush offensive while they build up forces. The Crypt Lord is used many time for the Strength and spamming units in battle. Finally, the Blood Mage is useful with siege units due to Fire Strike, Phoenix, and Siphon Mana. Although there are many other reasons that make the game really good, such as storyline, new maps and the such, the four reasons above should pretty much cement your decision to purchase this game.Have fun!~Sparda

Buying the expansion is worth it but buying world of warcraft is absolutely not worth it, paying monthly is bull.

i personally really liked the new units and maps and i enjoy following the storyline but if you didn't like the first one then it may not be worth buying the expansion

It's the best real time strategy for PC i've ever played, but i just don't seem to be able to finish the 8th undead chapter in the campaign...

Well, I had recently bought Warcraft 3 less than a month ago. I played it through and I realized it wasnt as good as I thought it would be. It was an ok strategy game and I've talked to other people that said the same thing but they never bought the expansion pack to it. So I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if it is worth it to spend another $20 or the new upgrades/maps aren't worth it. Thanks.

u can download dota allstars its good

I like it. You can play new races too. And there are more people that plays custom games too. =) But if you prefer MMORPG, then play World of Warcraft but you have to pay each month. I think its worth it though. Frozen Throne never got boring for me. =)

It's worth it because there are lots of games you can play, and you can download maps from websites and launch them in your Warcraft.

If you can "suffer" not knowing the ending of the story, then don't bother buying it. It offers no fantastic revelations only ya olde meat and potatoes of Warcraft III with some new maps/units etc.

I think its worth it. I liked WC3 FT... It was more fun then just WC3. I used to play it alot.. Untill i had to reformat my computer and then the disk was too messed up to reinstall WC3... Made me upset, because I would have to pay ANOTHER $10 to send it to Blizzard to get the disk repaired... sucks...

Totally worth it when it came out. It still is very playable, loads of fun, and the graphics aren't outdated. By all means go for it. Last time I checked the prices for it were down too. A thing you might also have noticed is the ROC online isn't exactly bumpin', Frozen throne however, has tons of people playing online. Chances are, you'll enjoy playing DOTA more than ladder, be sure to check it out online. Buy this game, and have fun with it :)
