They can't just relace Mario after all the years he's put in but if they keep making games, they're going to eventually make a bad one and ruin his reputation. He's a veteran, let him relax already. They're running the series into the ground.

Probably not, he's only about 20 years old or something. And he's nintendo's mascot. Let him live for another few years, then trash him!!! Just kidding.

No way. Retiring Mario is like trashing Soinc, Megaman or Link. It just can't be done. They should stop making mario parties though and start concentraiting more on side scrollers.

I agree. The Mario party series is starting to get old.

Yes I absolutely think it's time to retire Mario because I don't even like hes games and I think Mario himself is stupid and annoying.

i do remember one thing.
it took hours and hours but.
by the time i was done with it.
i was so involved. i didn't even know what to think.
i carried it around with me for days. and days.
playing little games.
like. not looking at it for a whole day.
and then. looking at it.
to see if I still liked it.
i did.

He'll always be the mascot, but in game terms, they'll stop using him as soon as they no longer make anymore money from them. It might happen.

I think they just need a new platformer like the original but with new stuff, instead of crappy mario baseball, party and dance dance revolution

NEVER!! Mario is a classic and is one of Nintendo's most recognized characters. There will always be a place for Mario in my game collection.

They should retire Mario, but prepare an amazing game like Super Mario 64 or sunshine, a very long one, and with more playable char, and then give him a last comeback, like Mario Lemieux did in hockey
