Time To Retire Mario?

Although I like Mario and nothing to me, can replace it, I think they should retire Mario. He's been out for like years and is in many games, including the ones named after him(Mario Party).

Yea Nintendo will not get rid of him because his games do continue to sell even though some people are tired of seeing Mario

mario is the heart and foundation of nintendothey can never get rid of mariobut they can get more and new characters, but mario is a classic, mario can never die...atleast for another month i mean

they would never get rid of mario because they can't afford to risk a new mascot......specially with revolution coming out......just as sega...hopefully nintendo will just stick to software development and leave the buisness of console making...at least amrio won't be so overblown like he has been......

mario should stay i played almost all of his games and i still enjoyed them but the best has to been super mario world and super mario bros 3

I say mario is a legend and should keep going on there is no way they are gooing to change their macot anyway they might just make a new one but keep the ones the have already got.

No way. Mario = Nintendo. Just think, if you see Mario, that's immediately what you think of. Or one of Nintendo's Mario games anyway. You can't just throw him away, it's like the Nintendo Mascot. Even if you don't make games about Mario, you still can't throw him away. And... it's awesome how they do his voice in Superstar Saga. Awesomely funny. And Mr. Green too. :)

there's a thread like this over in the gamecube forum and i'll say what i said there, mario is nintendo, my parents who wouldn't even know the first thing about gaming know who mario is, but wouldn't be able to name any other nintendo character

No way, why would nintendo retire their flagship character? Mario games have always been a joy to play and always will be.
