Gawd, if they actually did get rid of him, it would be kl if the last game featured mario as an old man ( like mgs4 Snake), but since mario is NOT going to be going anywhere ( which im thankful of) we wont see that! Anyway, nintendos sales would plummet down pretty dam low if that happened

Mario is an icon. Everyone loves mario and the family of superheros that inhabit mario. To add to this, different games have given them character. For example, Super Mario RPG. That made these characters more than just a stupid video game line. Even if they are overdoing it a little with the Super Mario line, they use this character set to test and expand the limits of their system, while still getting modest or even excellent sales from the game sales.

Fully agreed,i especially want luigi to have a GOOD role.They shouldn't replace Mario but they should let someone else have the spotlight for a bit. Bowser and Waluigi should have there own games and Toad and Luigi DEFINITLY need another game.

By the time NOA was thinking on a name for the character of SMB, The landlord of NOA was named Mario, and the people of NOA discovered that this real life Mario and our Mario where very similar...and thus, that's the origin of the name.BTW, Mario can's just die! it would be like killing Mickey, Sonic, Ronald Mcdonald, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.

He is still an icon, but it saddens me that Nintendo isn't making any good games for him. Party games and sports games are ok, but I miss Mario 64.

I concur, Mario is the best!.....well its better then the sony mascot....what was it...Crash Bandicoot ?....or do they even have a mascot?....I dont think they do!..so to all u sony lovers go suck a couple of lemons " :whistle2: <---- like so "SUCK!"
