Ya Sony doesn't even have Crash anymore, or Spyro.Cuz they both went on the Cube and the GBA, lol.And even if Mario was gone, they'd replace him with Link.

:) Yeah i agree with most of you on the subject of mario. Mario isnt going anywhere. He'll always be around and yea i agree the mario games are getting boring. basically Nintendo would be nothing without him. think of it this way. those of you that had a nintendo. What was the game most of you had. why mario of course. without mario nintendo would be bankrupt. i hope this proves my point and many of youre guys points. :D

I don't think they should retire Mario. They could stop using him in all kinds of games perhaps, but I don't mind that either. I'd like them to create more platformer Mario games though.. Sunshine was good, but now I want a new one. I hope they'll release one not too long after the release of the Revolution. I've not been keeping myself up to date about anything that has to do with the Revolution btw.. have they mentioned a Mario game for that console?

I wouldn't be against a new mascot, but I don't think the world can ever have enough Mario.

I agree, it seems that way at least. To be honest, I don't really care much which character I control in games, what matters to me is the gameplay, controls, level design and all that. The design of the main character does of course matter too, but not as much as the other aspects I think. As long as the main character is at least OK, I'm fine with that. But Zelda I hope they never ditch! :)

they should keep mario but make a movie (not like that crappy movie 15 years ago) and give him a new image to keep him up to date :mario:

They should never take mario away. he was too much a part of my child hood.i also wouldn''t want to take him away from all the new young gamers that are juststarting. And what are you talking about, Mario never gets old! Especially his theme song!

I hate Luigi too. More games like Mario 64 and Mario Sunshine need to be made. I loved Sunshine took me 3 years to get 100%

No, they shouldn't retire him completely, but they should move on. Maybe a game focused on the son of Mario and Peach, who has to save his parents after they're captured by Bowser?

Mario is Nintendo's SYMBOL though, that'd be like retiring Mickey Mouse or Santa Claus!
