Post-hardcore and progressive rock for me. Love the chaotic sound, especially when there are high and low pitch vocals at the same time. I'm also a big fan of experimental rock, just looking for something different and original - kind of goes hand-in-hand with prog rock. Favorite vocalist would be Anthony Green for his stuff in early Saosin. I also do a lot of electronica, like club mixes and house music. Basically I'll listen to stuff either with lyrics that I can really get into or a beat/sound that I can jam to.

I really like Japanese music whether or not the songs are in any Anime. I also like techno as long as the songs have lyrics in them. I'm not a fan of rap, hiphop, r&b or anything related. I don't mind listening to it once in a while if it happenes to be playing in the same area, but I wouldn't listen from my own free will.

i wouldnt put my taste into any of those categories although technically its rock. in particular i like rock with very creative progessive elements and often with jazz or jazz fusion elements

So hard to choose, especially between rock/punk/alternative, metal/gothic/industrial and jazz/blues/ska but in the end i leaned more towards rock but I like everything really

I was just browsing through here and seeing what people here listen to. I always get a kick outta some kid saying he likes "hardcore punk" and then goes on to list bands such as Atreyu, Blink 182, or Fallout Boy, it makes me laugh and cry at the same time knowing that the music that I grew up listening to has basically been taken over by teeny boppers that have no clue as to where "punk" actually started, like The Stooges and GG Allin, and to a lesser degree DK, Minor Threat, early Vandals and others. Oh well, maybe I'm getting old...

I like techno-y type stuff. My favorite band is Massive attack.I also like some pop type stuff. Like Mel C, Radio Head, and Orange Range.Rie Fu and Blue Ocean, and Death Cab for Cutie, are pretty good, too.

I mainly like Panic! At the Disco. And System of a Down. They've got to be my two favorite bands.
