ClockTower 1 for snes lol...try playing it with the sound all the way up and in the dark..

I think the PS1 Clock Tower is a lot scarier. Scissorman doesn't come after you much in the first game(seriously I went through the entire game and only encountered him twice) but in the second he's on your *** like white on rice! But for scariest game I would have to go with Fatal Frame.

silent hill always really scared me, the use of lighting was tremendously foreboding, and i felt this often made some of the more scary events that much more frightening

i can't say i've ever been scared playing a game, then again i don't get scared easily plus i've never heard of fatal frame so i can't tell you, but if i had to choose what i'd have to say was a game where i jumped a lot was one of those arcade shooting games, just cause you have no real control of where you're going and those monsters pop out of everywhereactually after a bit of time to think, the scariest game i had played was the original diablo, but of course i was only 7 at that time

fatal frame scared the S$%t out of me at times. One place I remember is you are at a door and you open it and BAM a freaking ghost is right in front of the screen im mean right in your face, I screamed out loud and my sister and mom were in the room and looked at me like i was insane. I look back and find it funny but that dang ghost scared me half to death, then of course I kicked it donkey in retaliation but yeah fatal frame has a lot of jump moments in it, I think it is one of the scariest games, that and playing silent hill in the dark by yourself. that can freak me out.

Played silent Hill 2 in the dark, and every time that radio screeched i **** myself lol. Those zombies that crawl on the ground gave me the creeps

if you thought silent hill 2 was scary, play 4, you can look through the peep hole of your door and sometimes this freaking looking dude will walk up to the door and just stare right at you blankly, that guy alone was scarier that all the freaking demons in that game. that and the guy with the guns who chases you through the end of the game. however I like being chased by pyramid head in SH 2 that was suspenseful.

Bunch of pussies you are kiddos. Doom 3, RE4 scary??? I guess a fish jumpingh in the water would scare you. You fall for cheapiest scare ever - the sudden attack. Silent Hill series however, rarely tries to scare you that way, and well the fear lasts much more longer. In RE, the monster jumps out, you're scared, you shoot it, you calm down and go on. SH series do it differently. You know you are stalked, you know that the monsters are coming, but from where? *Bam you're shot, bloody nurses appear out of darkness, all bloody and wielding pipes and guns. After you abrely survive, there still silence, maybe some background noises, like screams and stuff. And the enviroment... I never played Fatal Frame and I can't comment stuff, but RE4 just makes me laugh from attempts to scare me. BTW : I never had the will to get through the alternate hospital in SH3. When I saw the place, I found the nearest save point and turned the game off.
