I played The Lost Age before I played the original, and I didn't really have any problems. Like someone said, though, it's a lot nicer to play through things chronologically. Also, you can transfer your characters and items and stuff with the code given at the end of the original Golden Sun.

see, there are quite a few reasons to play both in order. the first golden sun has a great storyline, and it requires you to work at it, or you'll never beat it. golden sun 2, i like even better, if that's possible. it has a storyline that is best understood if you play the first game, and they are both great games in general. the graphics are about the same, and graphics shouldn't affect gameplay all that much anyhow. in other words PLAY THEM IN ORDER!!! thanks

I really love GS 1 and 2. I think it's the best gba game I've ever played. It has interesting storyline and animation. I've play it since 3 years ago but still until now when I try to play it again it still interesting.

i loved the first golden sun but the storyline in the second one just turned me offit went from pure utter brilliance and suspense to laziness and complete carbon copyism of every other rpg with bad storylines.golden sun 2 was bad for 3 crucial points. the scene when the party finally meets up and unites it just happens there is no conflict of interest everyone just instantly understands each other its so stupid. When the game starts it switches character roles and thats not necessarily what pisses me off it's the fact that the now that felix is the main character he attains the silence disease that almost all main characers develop in rpg's. goddamnit what's wrong with the main character having dialogue it doesnt make the game any less immersive and it's the most overused cliche of all rpgs. the ending was pathetic instantly everyone has one focal point of evil to work against in the first one what made it so intriguing and amazing was its seperation of evil and good into shades of grey so you cant tell whos working for good or evil purposes. golden sun went straight from awsome to bombing down the toilet. it makes me sad inside.

The Mbit value only determines the SIZE of the rom and NOT the quality. Don't be confused by that. A bigger rom doesn't always yield a better game (e.g. Baulder's gate for GBA was quite huge but only because of FMVs and the 3D engine. The game itself was really short and the 3D graphics poor because GBA isn't meant for 3D gaming).Secondly, I highly reccommend playing the first golden sun game because you can get a "password" at the end which will allow you to transfer your character to the NEXT game. If designers have such a feature, they obviously meant for you to complete the games in order. This post has been edited by djnforce9: Oct 19 2005, 03:30 PM
