I played both games and both are fun . The storyline is inter-related , and its a matter of choice whether to play which one first . Playing 1 first is probably the better choice cause at the first part of GS 2 , it is the ending part of GS 1 . Enjoy :(

They were both great games. I think that you should of course, play the first one, and then the second. The story flows good from 1 to 2.

well i played the 2 one first and it was fine, i prefered the in game spells you had to use to solve puzzles in the GS2 over GS1, and there never seemed to be a need for items or things that requried being transfered; but if you are a completionist then you will want to play GS1 first.

i think my favorite part of Golden Sun was the whole Djinn system and how it affected gameplay. My favorite parts were how it changed you character "class" and gave you all these different moves you never saw before, and the graphics of special Djinn attacks. This game had the best graphics in my opinion.

Well actually there was an optional dungeon that was actually worth doing that required all the djinns, including the ones from GS 1 that had to be transferred, where you not only fought the toughest boss, but iirc also get the most powerful summon in the game. You get some of the most powerful weapons and gear in that dungeon, which really helps a lot.

I am confused, what happened to Isaac's boat? I never caught what happened there. Where was Isaac the whole time felix was running around? How did they end up at jupiter lighthouse? I wanna know if Isaac made it to Lemuria.

BLAH!!! Why did I ever trade in my Game Boy Advance and my Golden Sun games. By far the best RPG I ever played on a hand held.

Golden Sun was just one of the BEST GBA games to date, and with upcoming talk of Golden Sun DS it could be the best DS games to date.

I didn't get this game at all. A lot of people said it was great. It was critically heralded and I liked GBA RPG games. This should have been a great fit for me for sure, but then I played it and HATED it. I just don't understand what everyone else was getting out of it.

Well, playing 1 only benefits later in the game. SPOILERS*Later in the game, when the party of game 1 meet ups with party in game 2, they form a new party. The characters from game one added into game 2 will have the equipes u had in game 1. I think they keep the items in the inventory too.

Golden sun I & II were basically the best GBA games ever. I only have emulations of them though so I can't upload Issac and company to the second one. -_-

IIRC Isaac didn't need his boat after his team and Felix's team joined up, but you could argue that his boat was nowhere in sight prior to that, but still. Also, Isaac in a way traced Felix's track. Wherever Felix went, Isaac went there later on in the game, as mentioned by few town inhabitants in the game. Also, I'm pretty sure Isaac made it to Lemuria. After all, he does have the boat that's required to go there, and I can't imagine him not succeeding at anything he must do.But yeah, the whereabouts of Isaac's ship is still very elusive.
