IMO, Golden Sun is the best RPG in GBA.As for the great creators from camelot who previously created Shining series (both SRPG and RPG games are awasome), you should give it a try to the game (as well as the Shining and the HolyArk and Shining Force III Series in Sega Saturn...if you still have one) :)

"I love RPG games but Golden Sun disapointed me so much because of how long it takes too walk to places and the graphix arent that good either."... What? Blasphemy! Poor graphics? Man, get new glasses. Those were some superb graphics.Play GS, for the plot content is high, even if the character content is a bit lacking.

"A boy has the right to dream. There are endless possibilities stretched out before him. What awaits him down the path, he will then have to choose. The boy doesn't always know. At some point, the boy then becomes an adult, and learns what he was able to become. Joy and sadness forever will accompany this. He is confronted with a choice. When this happens, does he bid his past farewell in his heart? Once a boy becomes an adult, he can no longer go back to being a boy. The boy is now a man. Only one thing can be said. A boy has the right to dream. For those endless possibilities are stretched out before him. We must remember. All men were once boys."

I owned Golden Sun, and have regretted pawning it for the last year... However, I tred Golden Sun 2 the other day, and it bored me to tears...I like the plot of the first one, and without it, I don't think I would have understood the second one half as well. But I still hold by my statement... The first one is WAAAAY better then the second.

i played golden sun (1) and it was very good. if i were you i'd read up on the reviews at the various review sites and see what you think. graphically they are similar though the newer ones *may* look better but not much.

my favorite part of golden sun is that you can't fight lazy. meaning you can't have it AUTO attack the next bad guy. you have to plan out your attacks so you don't waste them it makes it more of a chalange.. more than just pushing the a button over and over again as I hold the fastfoward button like I do on almost all final fantasy games that have that auto attack feature.I know most people hate that. but I love it.. I love that it makes it more of a chalange

Except Gaia Blade and the Djinni, I personally think that all the GS1 items will be outpowered by the more powerful Orihalcon- or Dark Material-forged stuff.

considering 2's story is linked with the first one it is highly recommended to play them in order, and just out of curiousity who plays games backwards like that it just seems weird to me. when i see a sequel i assume there are some things i'll only understand if i've played the first game, except of course for the FF series.
