You've played it in the SNES or in an emulator? Anyway, congrats, it's a very hard game (I just not like the battle system, it's too complicated

Is Mother 3 a direct sequel to Mother 2/Earthbound? The connections between Mother and Earthbound are tenuous at best and I have a suspicion that the third one will be the same. I hope Tomato finishes his translation soon. We should all E-mail him giving our support.

Starmen.net users (such as me) experienced with hacking and translating are working on a Mother 3 translation rom. Their target date is sometime in november. I can't wait! In the meantime, I'm waiting for my copy of Mother for GBA to arrive from Japan!

Nintendo has made it very clear that they have no plans in translating Mother 3 into English. Oh and to answer your question, Mother 3 is not a direct sequel to Mother 2/EarthBound, just like Mother 2/ Earthbound was not a direct sequel to Mother. :PTher IS a Mother 3 rom on this site, thoughThere WAS an Earthbound 64, which would be Mother 3 3D, but they abandoned it in 1999, (I think it was 1999) due to the lack of experience with 3d gaming in Nintendo. It was not going to be in English either.

starmen.net is awesome for bringing the proud EB fans together. Earthbound basically was the reason i learned to read, so that i could read all the dialogue, thats how long ive been playing it and im 18 now

i jsut ordered mother 3 for gba over the e-net. im hoping to play it and im hoping it will be as good as mother 2/earthbound. earthbound is my favorite game of all time. all the jokes the characters. the way everytihng is set up. all in all the best game ever!!!infernalnite's PokePet

I'm playing through Earthbound these days and I'm really impressed by the charm of this game. It's much like the Pokemon series in terms of design and feel, but it's more than just a cute and happy little adventure. I think the characters and script create a remarkable world that goes beyond those of "traditional" RPGs. I sincerely hope for a European/US release of Mother 3.Speaking of which, it's about time we got any of the games in the series here in Europe...

They need the scratch 'n sniff ads again.I remember the hugeass box the original SNES one came in, since they packed a strategy guide with it. I think that's what drew me to the game in the first place (Well, that and the scratch 'n sniff ads)

Ahh, Earthbound; the only rpg I've played that has allowed me to beat up hippies, zombies, and cups of overflowing expresso for experiance points.

Earthbound is a game I begin liking RPGs since I was a kid... A remake or a part 2 will be so great!!!
