Yes, I used the search feature first. No results were returned. Now then, I have a suggestion that maybe we could throw together a little tutorial to help some of those hapless forumers who don't know how to insert a picture into their signiture. If I may, I have created an imperfect, but still functional starter. If any super member, or Mod wants to replace it with a better one, I won't mind. Now then, since Imageshack does'nt require registration like Photobucket, and it's a bit more lenient then Kupatrix wit hallowible file size, I will be using that. Now then, to start, in order to post a picture on your post, in a PM, or in your signiture, it needs to be hosted. Now, some websites allow hosting, others don't. Y! Geocities I know does not. Therefore, you can't grab a picture directly from some personal geocities page, and link to it with image tags on a forum like this. Some websites, you can just copy the URL of where the picture is and link to it straight. (Just be sure you don't break any copyright laws) For a picture that is not hosted on a website, or is on your computer, this is where hosting sites like Imageshack, Photobucket, Kupatrix, etc. come in.First, since we will be demonstrating using Imageshack, go to www.imageshack.us. There is a browse button next to a text box, that I have circled in red. Browse through and tell them where it is on your computer, then click "Host it!".Posted ImageThis then takes you to a screen with a bunch of adresses and some ads. Your picture file is now officially on the internet! However, no one really knows it's there. So, find the "Direct link to image", which I circled in red. This is where your picture is on the internet. If you enter this into your adress bar, it will show up on your screen on it's own page, but that's not important right now. Copy the address it gives you.Posted ImageGo back to this site, and go to "My controls" I'm pretty sure I don't need to draw you a map to find that link. Click "Edit signiture" circled in red.Posted ImageIt takes you to the editing page, which looks like a normal posting page. You can do the following step, as if it were a PM, or a normal post as well. Click the tree icon circled below.Posted ImageThis box will come up.Posted ImageRemember the link you copied earlier? paste it here. Make sure also you did'nt accidently paste the "http" part twice, i've done that a couple times, it does'nt get you there any faster. >,< Now then, click OK, and it should return you to your post, where you will see the address capped off in IMG tags. If you want, press "Preview post" unless your editing your signiture, and it will show you what it looks like. Press OK or whatever, and you're done.A little tip though, is that I reccomend putting a small text file on your desktop, or documents folder, containing the adresses of all the files you have hosted. If you forget them, they're as good as gone until you can miraculously remember the entire adress. =PAlso, although you can host virtually any type of file, depending on the site, the only pictures that will show up on this forum are, I believe: JPG (or Jpeg), GIF, and PNG. I don't know if it accepts TIFF or anything like that, but I know this website does'nt show BMP images created in MS paint, or Paintbrush. This means that unless you download software like Adobe Photoshop, or Firehand Ember, or any other of the nine million programs that can convert file-types, you won't be able to sumbit and show off your wonderfull Bitmap image you spent a whole 3 mintues on to make. =PAny relative questions, PM me, or any of the wonderful mods lurking around here, or go ask someone in Visual Arts sub-forum.

First off, VERY nice tutorial AquaDragon ^_^. I think someone should pin this or something.A couple things more to add:1. If you register with image shack (it's free), all your uploaded image URLs are stored and listed for you through your account. If you plan to use images often (or change your sig periodically), this may be a good option for you (no storing urls in a text file)2. Images NEVER expire so don't worry about your sig/pictures disappearing after a few weeks or something.EDIT:3. Lastly, Posted Image (as seen here), but converts them to .png for you.
