Honestly, I can see Blizzard coming up with some lame scheme to "resurrect" the Prime Evils using some "super ultra rare item that somehow fell into evil hands" and having them be more powerful than before or something retarded like that. It's a shame how many storywriters have to use that sort of storyline to continue a saga. =/

I would be so happy if a Diablo III came out. Right now I'm stuck playing WoW, but all WoW does is give me the urge to play Diablo again. I just wish I didn't misplace my old DII discs.

It all depends on the new storyline. Blizzard could really mess this one up if the three prime evils suddenly come back for no apparent reason.

Blizzard did say that they haven't forgotten about Diablo, so a new game could be in the works, but like people have said, they fired the people who made it, so if it did come out, it wouldn't be quite the same.Though the people who made Diablo are making Hellgate London, so keep an eye out for that.

I spent so much time on D2:LOD, it would be nice to see part 3. But you can revive D2 with mods though. There are some pretty good mods out there.

Diablo III is not a rumor...In an interview of a member of Blizzard said some works about a project. As you all know Blizzard don't make enough reports about their new project...I believe it's Diablo III

It's undoubtedly true that they have been working on it, but they will most likely not release till their World of Warcraft franchise dies out. Since a lot of the people playing WoW would switch over to D3 there would be no point in releasing it for them at this time. Since you know Blizzard is all about the $$ they would want to keep their subscribers on one game, since balancing two MMOs would ultimately be a money drain. However I would love for D3 to come out, and hopefully it will be different that WoW's grind, raid, quit type of gameplay.

no confirmations yet, the creators of diablo are now on other companies (the one who created Hellgate London), are they gonna give the rights to blizzard to create a new diablo? i heard that the contract between the creators and blizzard are not fully contract

diablo2 has many still many fans 7years after the release - including me & i have heard that d3 has been under development for 2 yearsbut i play titan quest now which seemed like a fresh game after 1 hour yesterday if ur into the genre try it - that also go for: "fable" for pcDiablo 2 lod is the best game ever!
