blizzard current stance on D3 is avoid leaking information by posting silly.like so from karune:

.... blizzard still has the rights to make diablo... development teams are easily replaceable sadly

I've heard rumors about D3 for years. I hope it comes out. One problem, will it take after WoW and have a fee? If it does ill stick to D2

And Mephisto...But the only one's who are dead are the ones who embodies the three prime evils, namely: The Dark Wanderer(Diablo) a.k.a the warrior class in Diablo 1, Sankekur(Mephisto) the Que-Hegan of the Council and Tal Rasha(Baal) the horadric mage who volunteered to contain Baal.however isn't Diablo and brother Baal not allready dead?

Well if you played Diablo 1, Diablo dies gets killed then the hero (You the player) becomes Diablo in diablo 2, so im sure we haven't seen the last of Diablo or his Brothers..mephisto was also destroyed. Thus all prime evils have benn destroyed.
And besides Hell Gate London is the "new" Diablo game.

I never got into diablo. I played the first one a few times and I thought it was ok but I'm not very partial to that type of game. And if they make a diablo III before they release SC II I may just give up on blizzard -_-

That was exactly the thing I was going to say. Btw we do not need Diablo 3 with all these mods you can download. I have downloaded a mod which gave me more heroes to choose, bigger amount of equipment and some new quests and locations. Hmm ... If we speak about the hero ... the only soulstone, which was destroyed, was Mephisto's one, wasn't it? So they still can make a story like: Diablo and Baal ressurected soul of their destroyed brother and together they want to destroy the world etc. etc.

I cant reinstall Diablo II on my PC it is too powerfull for the game lol, i cant wait for Diablo III, hope they keep the 2D aspect but with better graphics... if it come out at the end i gona buy it. :(I have'nt heared any official news about it.

There's only 2 demons left.. our of the original seven..But still, Gameinformer seems to think that there's an 80% chance of D3 coming out... And I would be thirlled if it actually is in development...Then again, I don't feel like trusting blizzard again ;;;

I didn't read all the replies in this thread so i hope no ones beaten me to this tidbit of knowledge but the crew that made diablo broke off from blizzard and formed flagship studios, who are now in the beta of a game called mythos, with is basically diablo III

And they have also released HellGate: London. This can be also Diablo III or some kind of Diablo: Future or whathever. i'd like to at least see an actual "Diablo 3".....with the storyline and everything....after all, they owe it to me...Diablo 2 took up 193.8% of my waking hours for a chunk of my life

if they do make d3, it would have to be like wow because people will be bored of old diablo style. it needs to be remade in a new style or have some crazy ass twist to it...dont know what though

I read somewhere that Blizzard is working on a new MMO but no details besides the fact that it is not WoW2. I hope it's Diablo III :diablo:I also heard a rumor that there will be a trailer for Diablo III that comes with Starcraft 2... hehe just a rumor though :tomato:

The Diablo team is looking for new members, and although I think that because the Prime Evils are dead it would be hard to make a new story, they will make another. I don't think that it will come out until about four years from now (what would that be, 2012?). And there was no Lord of Destruction in Diablo I or Hellfire. Maybe it'll be like, a Diablo -I, where it gives the story BEFORE Diablo I happens, like having you put the Prime Evils into the soulstones. I know when D2 was coming out I was thinking that they would have it be where you were the warrior who killed Big D and it was like an inner battle where you tried to expel him, so that might be another idea.Wasn't Hellgate: London done by the Diablo team?Blizzard FTW!!!!
