i hope they make another one... but what could they really put in it fighting god... now righti thought that they has scrapped the idea i hope not. if they do make it i hope there isent a fee like WoWone of the resons it was scraped is because every wow play would switch and if there wasnt a fee theywould lose millions and millions of dollars

I hope its true. I believe the original team who developed Diablo engine i salready not affiliated with blizzard. I think they have created their own outfit and developed hellgate london. 
But still hope blizzard would release a sequel for Diablo series.

After LoD...There's really nothing more they can do. The only way they could make a Diablo III work is if it's a Prequel, and not a sequel. That would be pretty cool though. Maybe take us back to the period of the great Sin War.
...I actually agree with this poster. >_>While Diablo II was fun, I always thought that Diablo I had a better atmosphere. The music was dark and... Foreboding? I believe that's the right word. Gruesome sights all around, corpses, blood spattered walls. More terrifying creatures. Seriously. >_>Those Hell Vipers in Diablo I were pretty creepy. Especially when compared to some of Diablo II's creatures. Maggots? Totally not scary. Half naked giants? ...Actually, those are pretty scary when you think of itmy roommate and i both think D1 is way better than D2although D2 is much superior in graphics, sounds, controls and story depth, it is the simplicity and purity of D1 that we like. Just fighting demons in their underground lairs, not snakes and scorpions in the desert, or short people in the jungle...
...No. All 3 soul stones were destroyed.Mephisto's Soul Stone is destroyed during Act 4.Diablo's Soul Stone is destroyed in Act 4's ending FMV.And Baal's Soul Stone was destroyed when Baal corrupted the World Stone. (If you watch his Death Animation closely, you'll see his Soul Stone glow, then shatter just before his "spirit" or whatever enters the World Stone.)Hmm ... If we speak about the hero ... the only soulstone, which was destroyed, was Mephisto's one, wasn't it? So they still can make a story like: Diablo and Baal ressurected soul of their destroyed brother and together they want to destroy the world etc. etc.

Diablo and diablo 2 is cool but didnt EA games put a lot of effort in making something like it. They made Hellgate London. its not an exact copy but it had the diablo feel to it...

Hellgate isn't that impressive, nor does it remind me of Diablo sadly... Strangely, shouldn't there be an ultimate being of evil we can kill? like the father of the three evils, as corny as it sounds...

I agree if Blizzard made a prequel for Diablo III it was be really excellent. I get so bored playing DI and DII over and over.

Diablo 3 i think will take place in the Sin wars casue theres a lot of talk about that in the games so i think blizzard wants to talk the players there to see the histroy behind it, u know how blizzard is trying to make the play feel like there in the world and stuff

Diablo 3 won't be the same if it is made by blizzard, because incase you didn't know the people who made diablo 1 and diablo 2 and the expansion don't work for blizzard anymore, they all quit and formed FlagShip Studios. They are the guys who made hellgate: london. If diablo3 is made by blizzard its only going to be made after WoW isn't popular anymore so they can have another game to make popular, but I doubt it will be anything like the current d2 is.

I love Diablo... they should do like a remastered graphics and gamplay version... same story just better everything! tht would be very cool.

If they do remake it I hope they would do something like.... after the prime evils were gone there was a new source of power (the new evil) that revived them but they needed a host. So basically they took control of the main characters. So you would have to fight the main characters as bosses in the Acts.
Wait I think your idea is WAY BETTER! A prequel....thats genius. Taking it back to how it all started. The beginning of everything. The coming of the 3 evils and how the heroes united. they could make a sequel if they based it on destroying the lesser evils like azmodeus and belial. id love to see them, they were mentioned in diablo 1 if you remember, as being responsible for "banishing Diablo and his brothers to the mortal realm."... if you remember

Well you have to keep in mind that you've already killed Duriel and Andariel, and they were supposedly on the stroner side of the Lesser Evils. So how powerful could they really be?

Perhaps Blizzard could do a little twist with Diablo 3 if they decide to make one? Like someone suggested in an earlier post, this game will be a prequel but instead of being a hero, we will play as demons of the past. The story will be the characters rise to power and with the right twists and well placed suspense, Blizzard could make Diablo 3 a story on how Diablo and his brothers came to be and how they gained this power. That would be something interesting.
The silent air will soon be filled with horrid screams. The vague night will soon be lit by the destruction we leave in our wake. The shivery ground will soon be covered with sweltering blood. We will bring about...EndlessChaoz.
