FRIED MALAYSIAN ICE CREAM ROCKS THE HOUSE! (woot  :D)

:D Any chance you'd know where I could find some of that ice cream?

I live in Michigan around Detroit, there's a restaurant not too far away we went to once called Penang. Here's an exceprt from a news review (the whole article's at http://www.theoaklan...1119003.shtml):"For dessert, we chose the fried ice cream ($5), advertised on the menu as the chef's special. A ball of creamy vanilla came wrapped in a thick, still-warm golden brown coat of fried, finely chopped coconut that was crunchy on the outside and spongy where it met the ice cream. On either side were slightly flattened banana quarters fried in a wonderful buttery, paper-thin batter that crisped like phyllo dough but was less stiff."yeah, a tad expensive, but if you're still interested I'd google it up for: restaurants "fried ice cream" [your city]. Good luck with that, if you find it hope you enjoy :D :D
