Well I play both Tekken and SC.So I'm gonna lean more towards Tekken since I have played and owned T1-5.I only have 3 and 5.3 I only play because of the best mode ever.............Tekken Ball.5 Because it's just...awesome. And Steve Fox owns.I have SC3, so I'm fine. Me and my friend constantly duel each other in it like 4 times a week. It's insane.And.......Taki owns (140 DMG Wall combo ftw)

I would rather play Soul Calibur since I like to use many different kinds of weapons to fight in the ring.

I'd go with tekken because of is unique gaming style and battle moves. it takes a lot of skill to manover those special combos you see sometimes.

Tekken, since it goes with some skills and strategy. Even with a lot of power with your character, a weakling still has a chance aganst you.

tekken. characters are better. though weapons are cool, they are hard to control. so tekken, indefinately.

I like Soul Calibur better because it was easier to defend yourself and in tekken you just need to mash all the buttons.

ive never enjoyed tekken but soul calibur makes me remember the Dreamcast. Definitly Soul Calibur

I prefer soul calibur as it has better characters (except for forest law, jin and asuka kazuya).

Ah, the great debate on which of the two Namco fighter games is best, Tekken or Soul Calibur? Well, considering that this topic was posted within context of Playstation 2, I will have to consider that for Tekken on the PS2, there was Tekken Tag Tournament, Tekken 4, Tekken 5 while for Soul Calibur, there was Soul Calibur 2 and 3. I've played all these games before on the PS2 and I'd have to say that Tekken is better than the Soul Calibur series, I know that the Soul Calibur series, especially Part 3 had much more gameplay value than any of the games but the real downside to the Soul Calibur series on the PS2 IMO was the horrible, horrible BG music in Create-A-Fighter mode in SC3!!!!!!!!!!!

Soul Caliber is for Fighting Game noobs (which I am) The combo's are not complex unlike Tekken, Soul Caliber is more of a button mashing game than being strategic about your moves unlike tekken almost anything is possible...IMO Soul Caliber is better because I enjoyed it more...

Soul Calibur because I love the weapons and the game setting. My favorite fighter of all time. Button mashing? not me. Learning guard impacts and combos makes the game more fun. IMO.
