Soul Calibur is way better, but Tekken is still great.Both are among my favorite fighting games.

Ouch, this is a really hard choice, I love the classic style of Tekken's fighting (that and the fact that Tekken Tag rocked!) But I also love the originality and story modes of the SoulCalibur series. However, unfortunately for Tekken, I like Soul Calibur better because it has more of an RPG style to it, and seeing as how my favorite genre is thus, SC gets my vote.

Um no... that's Dead or Alive 4.I'm going to go against the flow and say I prefer Tekken.im a halo 2 fan so Soul caliber cuz they have Master chief in the new 1. But i used to play soul caliber from the first 1 till now. I was nasty

i'd have to say soul calibur because u get to use swords and try to kill each other with them 
plus tekken 5 doesn't have as good a "mini-game" as SC3 does.

I love DOA, definitely the best, damn X-Box 
I only hav PS2 and GC. But between SC and Tekken it's difficult. In honesty I think SC is good to just pick up and play but I prefer Tekken for its hardcore gaming edge, taking the time to learn the awesome 10-Hit combos but SC is kl cos you can just Button Bash your way through, except for Weapon Master in SC2 like

Depends really. If it's Tekken Tag, then heck yea. Tekken over SC. But after they released 4, I just lost all interest. How dare they change the movesets? T_TBut I honestly don't know about the SC series though. I've played it once or twice at the arcade, but that's it.

Soul Calibur is better, but I really like the Tekken 4 (or 5 now?) in the arcades.

for newer games, soul calibur...but tekkeen 3 is the best from the old school.
