How about Fable? Yea it's kinda predictable but still. good story. family dies village get burned by bandis looking for this kid. kid joins the guild and you go from there. either get revenge or just don't care. become good or evil or in between. become a warrior or archer or mage.

Final Fantasy has the best storylines imo, mainly because they are made to be a movie with a good story and put together as a game.

Personally i find the Lore of Warcraft to be a great story, Not only does the story have orcs n trolls but also Aliens aand Spaceships ;D

mine was always FFX.Blitzball owned my life,still does.i recently started a new game, and i ended up calling Tidus "Diedre" as a joke. and im now at the Calm Lands, and playing Blitzball, because i cant be stuffed on the actual story line

Chrono Trigger, because it's a classic that spans billions of years. Everything was all mixed up you could even switch out the main character. How awesome is that?Tales of Symphonia was interesting. It wasn't just the storyline, it was how they presented it. It's like this guy is good guy, just kidding, he's using you. This guy is helping you, just kidding, he's also using you. This guy's a hero, just kidding, he's the one who screwed up the world. It was plot twist galore in that game.Most of the FF games that I've played have an interesting thing about them with the exception of FF I, whose characters had no personality.

Final Fantasy has seemed overrated to me since I first played FFX. I haven't played Seven but I've read parts of the story and it doesn't hold my interest to be honest.I love the Wild Arms series myself. As for which in the series has the best story... I'd have to go with the second one, though I really do like them all.

for your information legend of zelda- in fact ALL legend of zelda games (except the 2nd ones) are great games, so don't you dare go dissing them!Although you're right about it not being an RPG.For my best RPG, it has to be chrono trigger! Any plot that manages to pull off freaking TIME TRAVELLING and keep ther plot straight has to be amazing! Even though it's intrcate, has lots of sidequests and 12 endings, the plot is always straight.Uhm first off: Woe means sadness, or misery. Woah, means to wait, or hold up. Second, LEgend of Zelda is, as far as I am concerned, an action-game platform. An RPG to me, means something where you take control of charicters in an entertaining story. LoZ is mostly solving mind-numbing puzzles and fighting wierd bosses with idiotic patterns you have to hit them with some wierd weapon then go in and go into a slashing frenzy. That's not really an RPG in my mind.
