Pokemon is better. Why?1. because we all know satoshi is proud of his creation! (in japan, ash is satoshi)2. the first pokemon theme song ruled and (GOTTA CATH EM' ALL!)thats about it.

I like Pokemon more because its plot is much better than that of Digimon. I like the theme music of Pokemon better as well.

neither cause tenjho tenge rules them both. MUHAHAHHAHAH!!!!!!!!

(Tenjho Tenge? lol, I didn't find the show that compelling...not compared to others of its type, but still decent- I mean hey, they got a Capoeirista (even if I didn't see it progress much T_T)! *Thumbs up*)I never played the digimon games, but as far as shows go, I saw the first Digimon series and loved it as a kid, but always got so bored with the first pokemon series (no idea about modern ones)But yeah, huge fan of the Pokemon games :)

I i was going just by the idea...digimon. They can evolve to huge powerful when need be but go back to small size so your not stuck with the same thing forever ( 4 in 1 ^-^)For the series itself....pokemon.

Remember how fox and wb tried to pit the shows against each other by putting them in the same time slot on saturday? God I love both, but was forced to choose sides and choose pokemon. I wish this fight never happened and the two shoes could have lived in peace, instead digimon was eventually crushed and put on a respirator because of the overwhelming force of pokemon.

Honestly, I believe the storyline carried Pokemon more than the storyline carried Digimon. Digimon was cool in its own right, but I feel as if folks were more connected with Ash+Pikachu than the whole gang in Digimon. There was too much going on in that show, where it was almost like Dragon Ball Z in that there was stuff going on simultaneously in different places. In Pokemon, you followed one major character and that was it. It was his story, not many stories intertwined. That being said, I think the Digimon was less repetitive and better overall. And this is coming from someone that never owned a Digimon game, but has about 12 different Pokemon games stashed away in a box in his closet ^,^.

cmon now. everyone knows pokemon is the shizzle. pokemon's concept and gameplay is far superior. the simple yet complex interaction of supereffective elemental attacks creates the need for a perfect team, but the 6-pokemon-carry limitation prevents any player from organizing a flawless team. pokemon is a game for true rpg fanatics cuz the possibilities are endless... you could replay the game hundreds of times and never have the same team or same style of combat

I like Pokemon better than Digimon. The Pokemon games are well-made, and the manga is also pretty good.

It's hard to say which one i vote. I grew up with pokemon, so i automatically want to vote it. Since i grew up with pokemon i didn't get to see much digimon. Watching Digimon Frontier right now.

Pokemon is way more awesome than Digimon in games, but Digimon rocks in anime (but only the first three seasons, when it actually made sense).

Definitely Pokemon, I find Digimon to be kind of repetitive and frankly, unoriginal. A lot of the digimon have very little creativity and thought put into their names. I mean seriously, leafmon? I wonder what that could possibly be. Another prime example: Butterflymon. LOTS of thought went into the naming of these guys. Despite all of that, I don't dislike digimon, I just like pokemon betther. I admit that digimon had a better anime though!

It depends on what parts of the franchise you want to look at to be honest.  The Pokemon anime is a vapid waste of time.  It hasn't improved since it began and still suffers from numerous issues.  Though, I've been told that the subs are far superior to the dubs that we've received.  On the other hand the Pokemon series has a far better series of main and spin-off games.

On the plus side Digimon has a superior anime to work with in the earlier seasons at least while having a lack of quality gaming titles to offer.

And, I'm not sure how to compare the toys, shirts, and accessories.

Though, if I have to pick one of the two I would go with Digimon because this topic is in the multimedia section.
