Digimon was the like the cult version of Pokemon. The first two season of Digimon were amazing. digivolving was fantastic. then they started getting into the cards and whatever, and i lost intrest. i can still just randomly watch a pokemon episode and know whats going on, but with digimon i was completely loss towards the end. In my mind though nothing could top the first two digimon seasons

Digimon isn't dead, there is a fifth series, Savers, running in Japan. It's sort of a mix of all the seasons together, but mainly with their good points instead of the bad. Yes, Frontier was sort of horrible...but that doesn't mean the whole series was bad. Pokemon is the same thing every episode. Help a person, get a badge, blah blah blah. After a while all the battles are the same. With digimon there is variety, not only in what happens in each episode but with the villains and characters. Some enemies are tremendously evil, wishing only to kill and shroud the world in darkness, while others are less evil and more demented. The characters as well have variety, where they get into arguements and make up and generally grow through the series. There is almost none of that in Pokemon. The characters almost never learn from their mistakes, and the same villian theme is used in EVERY SINGLE EPISODE. The Team Rocket thing really gets boring after a while. Though I can't say with Pokemon, as I've never seen it in it's original Japanese glory, Digimon was actually a very mature anime in it's homeland. There are undeniably adult themes, as well as better story and acting on the behalf of the characters voices. The dubbers of both shows dumbed them down. I'm sure Pokemon would be better if it was still in the Japanese language. Digimon equals better anime, while Pokemon equals better gaming. I'm hoping Digimon Story will help combat the gaming area in the months to come.

Gah, I had this same arguement in school last year lol. I say Digimon is better. Because they atleast say WORDS, than say their own name multiple times....I don't know how ash understands him. Maybe h's just a loser

Hmm, pokemon and digimon are similar. BUt with digimon, you understand the monsters more. I'll have to pick Digimon because right now, it's not up to the point where I want to throttle those monsters like I want to in Pokemon. Plus, in Digimon, the characters do age unlike some heroes in Pokemon.

Hmmm... Pokemon and Digimon were basically original concepts when they came out ( i think.. haha). Pokemon has more creativity in it's creatures, Digimon has more experimental stuff when it comes to their series (sometimes it's a good thing and adds to what they have.. sometimes it's kinda ....bad). Pokemon sticks with the same exact story for every game and show... thats really bad..I think these two are even haha

For the TV series Digimon because it contains more "action" and less generic storyline things like Pokemon does.For Gameplay I'd say Pokemon, I haven't found a decent or realistic digimon game yet. I think they're trying not to be a "Pokemon clone" but the Digimon concept is very similar to the Pokemon concept and if they copied it while following their own unique elements (the stuff that seperates Digimon from Pokemon) they could probably turn out something better.Overall they both need a fresh revamp, which the Dungeon series of Pokemon seems to provide. I need to try that game out.

to me pokemon is a better show and a better game..its just more entertaining than digimon...but if the had a Pokemon VS Digimon battle...lets just say i would feel sorry for all the Pokemons lol.

both shows have its own attraction.i cant decided which is better than the other but from what i see right now, i think digimon is a bit better than pokemon. pokemon right now is just like kids show, i mean real kids show. while, digimon is more like a teen kinda show.
