But neither did you say how is pokemon better than digimon thoughWhy don't try to learn from borabosal & LordXero the way they talk instead of posting another reasonless comment coz I don't think it really adds to the dicussion. And for me I haven't been able to make a decision yet, mainly because:From borabosalI agree with you about the complicated names of the characters & the different dimensions in each different show. To tell you the truth I never did :DI just enjoyed watching the cool animations they imply during evolutions and some of the battle scenes & skills they use. However, it's cool when you are only watching it a few times NOT consecutively because the illustrator used the same animation every time. So it gets boring if you don't stop watching it for a while. And with Pokemon I never had that hassle about remembering dozens of name:P From LordXeroI also agree with you about the "kid" thing. I used to enjoy watching pokemon and actually bought a few novels too. But the story moves so slowly as though it didn't move on at all. After 1 year or so I just got sick of that and basically switch to digimon because the plot of Digimon at the least seemed moving on to me even I noticed a few fillers but I can stand those and I think it's reasonable to have those every now and again.
You hit on the point!! The problem is that I don't have enough prooves to say that Pokemon is bored....

Maybe I've to collect some of my reasons that are splitted around this topic and order then logically, so they can make sense, what I've learned is that some of my posts were made with some angriness(?) I felt angry about all the "Taboos" and things that are said about Digimon by Pokemon fans, but I couldn't hit in the point, so I think I need to check out what I've got to organize it...But neither did you say how is pokemon better than digimon thoughWhy don't try to learn from borabosal & LordXero the way they talk instead of posting another reasonless comment coz I don't think it really adds to the dicussion. And for me I haven't been able to make a decision yet, mainly because:From borabosalI agree with you about the complicated names of the characters & the different dimensions in each different show. I totally agree with you man, Trancebam. Pokemon got way too lazy with the battle scenes, almost always Pikachu goes for the final hit with Thunderbolt regardless whether it was beaten to 90% death. Ash gives an extra cheer "GO! Pikachu!" then it just climbs back up and "PIKACHUUU!" the team rockets and then they fly out of screen as usual, even if it's not Pikachu, there is always a "dominating" pokemon that existed in almost each episode that rules over everyone else (e.g. charizard/executor just on the top of my head I could think of). I also find that narrator guy pretty annoying, he always ends the show with a comment basically meaning "keep up the good work with collecting badges" but hardly ever do Ash even get close to challenge a gym the way we did in the games, usually he just get given a badge for helping the gym out for some out-of-the-blue quests (solve some stupid problems, bring some "objects" from one place to another =.=;; etc etc). Digimon does a way better job in this part. Story gradually moves on without abusing the repetition the way pokemon shows do. Even though most of the digimon move animations are mostly "Cut & Paste" from the previous episodes, at least you have a few Digimons fighting in a battle rather 1-pokemon-owns-all sort of thing.I personally think Digimon was better, as a TV series at least. If you're comparing the ideas of the two, then digimon definitely had it down. It was set in real world Tokyo, and each season added something unique to the story, whether or not that unique something wasn't very good. I personally liked the third show the best, mostly because they really worked on developing the bond between digimon and digidestined. In Pokemon, the bond was also important, but I just feel like it gets way too repetitive. I mean, at first it was nailbiting to watch pikachu get beaten to near KO, but then fight back and release one gigantic thunder jolt, but every stinkin' battle? It's just...way too repetitive. In Digimon, the enemies actually were more experienced as the trainers became more experienced. True, warp digivolution was kinda tiring after awhile, mostly because I missed Weregarurumon, but they played it out with different scenarios. There were plenty of plot twists and character development. That's what a good story needs, so I think the concept behind the two goes to Digimon, hands down. But outside of the shows, e.g. video games, card games, etc., Pokemon has Digimon beat by a landslide.

Again have to agree with you trancebam, they should had said there were only 150 pokemons at the start (Even though I doubted all 150 were showed from the first series). Like Digimon, they didn't even mention it, and I think that's a way better decision to make. As soon as you put a limit to it you can't go over it, but if you left it open you can always add new stuff into it! I liked Pokemon more than Digimon in the beginning but it just kept letting me and alot you guys who were pokemon fans at start down.Like many of you, I followed each episodes really closely when they first came out when it's still new. But I just gradually lose interests to both of them because the quality goes downhill. I can't really make judgements on current ones since I didn't get to watch pokemon or digimon that often these days (due to broadcasting time issues). But I did occasionally get to see like quarter or so of an episode for both of them but not having any idea what season it is. From the bits and pieces of the Digimon episode I was seeing has this "card slash" feature that annoys the hell outta me & as usual for the pokemon epi, watching like the ending 10 mins gives me no idea what was going on. Ash just gets involved in some stupid competition to win some meaningless prizes and somehow attracted the team rockets. And also, coz I don't watch english subs, I have no idea what the new terms you guys talked about were, sorry.Actually, to add to my previous comment, I really only liked Digimon up to the third season. Although the second season wasn't very good. I think they should've taken out the digiegg digivolutions and made better Hybrid digivolutions. At least I think that's what they're called. Anyway, third season vamped it up, giving it a whole new mood, setting it more in the real world, adding the effects of the cards, and making awesome digivolution animations. And you gotta admit, Taomon was awesome. I just feel that the first season of Pokemon sold it short with a set 150 Pokemon, whereas there were always new Digimon to see.
