I prefer Digimon to poke'mon although, the latest episodes have lost its ways, kids turning into digimon? thats just crazy. oh well... I guess my vote goes to Digimon after all.

Pokemon for me. Digimon's 1st series was good but all of the rest suck.

yes, I agree with you T.I.P, the first season was awsome, infact, it was perfect, and then, it fell apart afterwards, thats why they've got the Digi-destineds turning into Digimon.

Pokemon Red's PokePetPosted Image Posted ImageWhizzer the level 99 Scyther!

Mmmmmmm... draconio, The games of pokemon are better thanthe shows, but, then again I haven't even played the Digimon games...I want to try them because they look like pretty good games when I enter the stores.

Ehh... that was only digimon frontier, which most avid digimon fans, which more or less is the equivalent the Nazis and Germany: It boosted the market temporarily, but overall it was a total embarrassment and disaster to the entire series.

For frontier this was pretty much a super sentai clone, but the idea of bio-hybrids that was put into the Tamers series was actually a really good idea at the time. I mean you got to admit, when they implemented it in the series for the first time, it was really creative and the story itself for the Tamers series was really good. I mean this does sound kinda biased since my favorite series of Digimon was Tamers, but still it was pretty awesome.

Well let me put it this way. For digimon games, leveling up is a necessity and a hassle. If your one of those people who hated training then i suggest that you never play these games. I also suggest to you, that if you played pokemon mystery dungeon and you didn't like it, don't play Digimon World 2. Still the games themselves are pretty good, my favorite so far is between Digimon World 4, which was based of the japanese only, completely made in 3-D CGI, Digimon X-Evolution movie, and Digimon Story/World DS, which is like pokemon, but with a few modifications, and again a lot more training.

Pokemon owns digimon by far How long has it been since a new digimon show came out?!

Not so far. Last year started "Digimon Savers" in Japan, which is the fifth season. It changed a lot of what could be expected for Digimon, though there are some cons the series has, it grew and got a curious and interesting plot.

I always like pokemom cuz I was biased towards digimon. Always thought that it was a rip off of pokemon and most of the monsters in digimon were gigantic. Seemed a bit dumb that they couldn't just sqaush 8 little kids who have no idea where they are.

I believe that this thread was started somewhere else... anyway... I vote for Digimon! :wtf:

I vote for Digimon. They're freakin' data monsters! Did you ever see the episode (in the first season) where the digital world came into the real world? That's friggin' nuts! Digimon would kick Pokemon.

Digimon is more violent, in my opinion, then pokemon. The story of Digimon was better then pokemon. But Digimon was a crappyspin-off of pokemon. But wait a minute, doesn't both of them suck?Digimon rulez pokemon, but maturity rules digimon.

I vote for pokemon because there were way too many digimon series and not all of them were good.

Actually, they're just starting their fifth season, whereas Pokemon is going onto their tenth. So ahem, your argument sucks. Oh, and the digimon series tried something new, which sometimes flops, however Pokemon is just the same thing over and over again. So, I'd say that digimon has pokemon over on getting original series'. Anway, i really don't feel like making a juge post as I usually do. I'll just say that for those of you that think Digimon is a ripoff, read some wiki man. Digimon was in the making before pokemon was released. It was just coincidentally rather similar in the fact that they both had monsters being trained by humans children. Other than that, they're really not alike at all. Mainly because Digimon actually has a plot. Anyway, that's all from me for now. And please stop spamming. You were all doing so well...

So many people who votes for one side with a really irrevelant, unconstructive, and incompetent argument. 'I like digimon better because they are data monsters.' what?Pokemon seriously lacked a good solid plot. The whole thing that kept the anime goingwas all the merchandise it ever sold. I mean, it's just 'catch pokemon, get stronger, gobeat a gym, catch pokemon, get stronger, go beat a gym, etc...' and rarely he will go fightin some tournament and win or lose, depending how they fell like it. I mean, they could haveat least developed some feelings between Ash and Misty, but no she got rejected and a newer girl came along. And when a new series come, all his pokemons go away and herestarts from scratch, with plenty of flashy fight scenes, that aren't even that much violent.I mean, the characters get burnt, struck with lightning and hit with huge boulders and theyrecover in a frame. wow talk about a new level of irrealism. I mean they aren't going toteach kids to go play with fire. The movies, though, show a new level of the save the worldtheme. The movies, compared to the series, is way better. The newer series show a hugeimprovement in the animation, but still lacking a solid plot. Digimon, may be just as crappy as pokemon, but it's better. The fight scenes are at leastmore violent (remembers one of the dark masters or whatever, the big dragon snake likething that got cut it half) even though the whole digivolve crap gets irritating. The storydoesn't get that repetitive, as each new series brings out a new way to go save the worldor some random crap, featuring yet again new characters that replace the old ones, butthe main character is also replaced, so it runs smooth for the storyline. And they actually dotell us what happens to the old characters, how they move on, making the story move onat least. the digimons are as annoying as the pokemons, though. I think, the third digimon series, showed originality and went into something totally different of digimon, for better or for worse. But still very digimon/pokemon-ish. It had some dramatic elements in thelater serieis, I think. Digimon proved to be a lot more entertaining to me.Although, their whole new plot/character themes proved to be their downfall. Just because I know alot of these two series doesn't mean I love them. I watched alot ofdigimon/pokemon when I was little. It's just that we never forget things completely, and thistopic has triggered my memories.Forgot to mention, the pokemon RPG games were one of the best RPG games I've everplayed. Not the theme, but the gameplay.

If you don't know one of them, don't vote. Your opinion is meaningless and it just gives you one post and 6 GPs.The original Pokemon, the first season, was really the best. After that it got less interesting. When I was young, I was really into Pokemon. I memorized all of the first 150 something pokemons of thefirst season. But guess what? Second season, a hundred more pokemons to memorize!Third, what a 150 more?By the 6th season, if there is one, there's probably like over 600 pokemons, or something. Even the producersnoticed that they had so many pokemons they decided to leave alot out. And the fact that in the first season, you actually saw most of the 150 pokemons and in the next seasons, it felt like you only saw 30 more.

OMFG!!! You've instantly moved straight to the top of my respected members list. You can actually post! btw, Pokemon is entering it's 10th season, just a little fyi. I've actually already posted a lot in this forum, so I'm not going to go too in depth again, seeing as you already have. However, to theringmaster...Pokemon did in fact air their anime first, however digimon's anime was in the making before Pokemon aired, and digimon had a little digital pet similar to the tamagachi, even before the tamagachi came out. To flyingpsp...as Ratchet said, keep your little comments to yourself if you have no basis for argument. I'll just post my opinion yet again, for those of you still in here that haven't read it...Pokemon is a cut and paste plot, hence having no dynamic plot at all. Every season is basically the same: First episode, filler, filler, Gym Leader battle, rinse and repeat. The first season of pokemon was the only one worth watching. Now digimon on the other hand changed it up. While the first season is agreeably the best in America to date, each season had it's pros and cons. I personally enjoyed the 3rd season the best. Most people didn't like it because the digidestined could use cards to power up their digimon. But guess what? Digimon are digital...that's not completely inconcievable. Anyway, that's my point to support my vote for Digimon over Pokemon, which I've stated many a time along with numerous other points in previous pages. I'm out.

That's right, but in this topic you must put good arguments and reasons to say why Digimon or Pokemon is better than the other one, then every word is worthy, except the spam some people is making here.

Digimon, overall.terror: Pokemon's just now getting time/space warpers, eh? Well, digimon has had a God of Time and Space in Chronomon, from Digimon Story/World DS. And a... that thing you said that was blacked out--Digimon has also had that. Since like... 2005. There were clues that it existed... but it didn't actually appear in name until 2005... and we got to see it in action this year, in the finale of Savers.Pokemon is very overated. The Games are good... but the anime sucks. Like... really bad. Ash has been 10-years-old for like... how long now? Why is it always him that gets to go on a "New Adventure?" Why can't the Pokemon Company roll the frickin' dice and try out a new main character for once (and don't go "May was a new character!" or "Max was a new character!" That's what we call supporting characters. The Main character is the "Hero" of the story... the one that is trying to save the world, or in this case, become the pokemon champion).---Pokemon vs. Digimon (Physical Battle)---Any pokemon besides the Legendaries introduced very recently wouldn't stand a chance. Pokemon stop evolving... and Digimon can always ascend the level that they're at. That's one of the major strengths of Digimon.Plus, there are a whole lot more Digimon than there are Pokemon... and there are a few that supposedly live forever (GranDracmon has lived since the "Dark Area," the Digital World's hell, came into existence, and is supposedly immortal). Also, there are many Digimon Gods (Azulongmon, Zhuqiaomon, Baihumon, Ebonwumon and Fanglongmon just to name a few) and groups that could easily give the legendary pokemon mentioned a run for their money. (the Royal Knights, Demon Lords and Olympian Digimon).---In short...Digimon pwns the Pokemon animePokemon's games are better.Digimon FTW.
