red alert 2? i really am fed up with the game. i easily get tired playing with it. how bout getting a look on some more new skirmish games? isn't this thing old now?

I think it's time that the mods will close this thread because we're getting tired to respond to this topic nowadays and there are still people responding to this. Even Mental Omega (the RA2 add-on) seems to be the perfect replacement for RA2. This RA2 is now over six years old.i find that red alert 2 is alright if i play online since sometimes it gets a bit boring having to play campiagn or skirmish but it's still a good game.

I agree with you, the last stages of each campaign are tough enough. At Yuri's revenge the last stage is a little bit easier. I managed to destroy Yuri's base with 6 Prism TanksRed Alert 2 was an amazing game, but I could never get passed the last stage on each of the campagnes. Damn that was a hard game, yet the greatest strategy game I've ever played. There are some great memories there.

this game rocks, the rts gam i played befor this one whas dune, by westwood too, but when i played red alert, it was a whole diferent world... units could get in constructions and vehicles!!!!!

I usually play RA2 with my friends with me and my friend being the Soviets and my other friends as Americans, my friend usually builds Apocalypse tanks and I nuke the base..... And yeah, skirmish and campaign get boting after a while.

It was a great game, but it lacked polish (1024*768 resolution? Wth? And where was Kane in the expansion?) and somewhat unbalanced (chronoshifting an army of prism tanks into the enemy base would practically gut it).

It was a lot of fun when it first came out, but it did get pretty old cuz it always ended up being the same fight.

yeah red alert 2 is a real addicting game, first I borrowed it from my cousin and I immediately knew it was a cool game.after I had to give it back to my cousin 
I directly went to the store and buyed it.Now I can play it de whole day

i have the C&C the first decade and i think RA2 and yuris revenge is quite boring because once u play through each of the couyntries once or twice cause it gets really repetitive

^the games arent meant to be played for their single player missions the real deal is the multiplayer aspect of the game try taht out u wont regret it .but they cud have made the lan support a bit better in ra2 and yuris ..u have to go through alot just to get a game going ..
