I would have to say Resident Evil, some of the other choices were good but RE tops them

While I'm tempted to give the nod to Resident Evil 2; I reallt was shook up more from Soul Reaver than any other horror game. Especially the first boss, the one you fight around the moveable cage. Freaky stuff dude.

You can't beat the feeling you get when you're going down a hall in F.E.A.R. No game has made me as afraid of my surrounding as F.E.A.R.

I loved F.E.A.R. and most of the Resident Evil series, but I'm going to have to go with Silent Hill for my favorite horror game. Well the scariest I've played, anyway. I had to turn it off and watch a comedy movie several times throughout the first and third. Resident Evil and F.E.A.R. were simply not surreal enough to scare me at many points in the game. Silent Hill just decides to sort of turn reality upside down and throw it into a firey pit of tortured hellspawn.

Silent Hill 3 because it is completly deranged and gruesome and has an atmosphere that is incredibly tense

The only way I got throught Doom 3 was because of the online co-cop. Had it not been for my buddy I'd have never completed it. To this day I haven't finished the single player; it scares me that much,lol.

Silent Hill 1 and 2and the Resident Evil remake for Gamecube.also, since no one said it (and if you did, i didnt see you, sorry), Doom 3. I don't know about you, but it scared the crap out of me while I played it.

best horror game to get would have to be DOOM best game ever hordes of enemies everywhere kick a$$ weaps and its pretty dark and scary cant get much better than taht

Doom 3 isn't a bad buy. I also like the later Silent Hill's. Hmm... I keep hearing FEAR is amazing. But it doesn't seem like it's appealing to me.

Im gonna have to say the resident evil series is the best.. Theyve had alot of games and all of them are pretty fun
